SEALs Take Him Out!

A great day for the United States of America, our CIA and those supermen of SEAL Team 6! And how fitting the cowardly murderer of women and children would spend his last moment hiding behind a woman. May all his followers consider that.

This is really good news. They should have dropped his head off on the capital steps of Pakistan, They had to have been keeping him a secret. Now the hunt needs to continue for # 2- - - 1000.

It's interesting how ill prepared the compound was for an attack. It would have been easy to destroy their drives and records, as well as to have made the grounds and air over it hostile to rotary wing landings.

I think with Pakistan protecting them they were confident that they would not be bothered.

Just a little nite-time prayer:

Now I lay me down to sleep, one less terrorist the world does keep. With all my heart I give my thanks to those in uniform reguardless of ranks. You serve our country and serve it well, with humble hearts your stories tell. So as I rest my weary eyes, while freedom rings our flag still flies. You give your all, do what you must...with God we live and God we trust GOD BLESS AMERICA

Since he liked airplanes so much they should have loaded his body into a B2B and dropped him from 80,000 feet...

Don recently got an email that circulated among his social circle asking that people stop at 7pm (PST) every night and say a prayer for our leaders to help them make the right (?) decision and to help protect our troops, etc. Don now has his phone set to go off at 7pm everynight now, and we stop what we are doing to say a little prayer. I just made a copy of your prayer to read tomorrow night at 7pm

I was visiting my son in San Diego a couple of weeks ago, and took the following photo of the Carl Vincent docked at Coronado Island..., and I was told that it came into port a week prior to my arrival:

Oh, did I mention Seal Team Six is also based out of Coronado Island.

I never tire of looking at magnificent warships. She was built just across the bay from us at Newport News Shipbuilding, as are all the carriers now.

Lee,

Then you may also be aware that the USS Midway Aircraft Carrier is permanently docked in San Diego as a floating museum. Here are a couple of pics that I took a few years ago of the Midway....awesome carrier!!

I also went into this metal object....,

Bob

Nice pics Bob. I know the Midway had quite a long and interesting service history. Our Scout troop toured the Ike (CVN69) a few years ago in Norfolk which is still an active carrier, that was neat. My 10 yr old son just got to stay/eat/sleep on the carrier Yorktown with the troop at Patriots Point, S.C. and tour a sub and Fort Sumter, a great experience for them. We have also toured the battleship North Carolina, also a museum. The battleship Wisconsin (Iowa class which is the largest) is also a museum now at Nauticus in Norfolk. Awesome ships.

Bob, Don and I had reservations two years ago to spend the night on the Midway. They're difficult to get and you have to book almost a year in advance. We paid $125 each to eat, sleep in those tight little bunks, do a simulator, and tour the museum. There were only 3 times in the summer you could do this and one time at the beginning of January. We had to cancel last minute and fortunately got our $$ back. We still want to do this. I think I'm motivated to see if we can make plans for next year again
