Shake Rattle and Roll - San Diego Quake

Ok so we thought we would sneak down South to San Diego on the Amtrak and take a quickie 5 day cruise.... we get off the train, walk down to the Gaslamp Quarter, hunker down to a nice little pub with a tall dark cool one and order our meal....

then....

all the decorations starts wiggling, and our seats are shaking under us. We are sitting outside on the streetside of the restaurant. Next thing I know, Don is clear across the street at the open lot, the waiters/waitress's are heading out the building, and I'm intrigued with the movement of the buildings around us (but I did go out to the street away from the brick facade)!

Turns out it was a 7.2 quake about 120 miles SSEast of us.

Anyone else feel it?
BTW- we will be offline for the next 5 nights on a cruise

Have fun on the cruise. We didn't feel the quake here in Nebraska (there's a shocker, lol), but I heard that it was felt all the way in Pheonix. I have never experienced an earth quake, and I hope I never do. I like the firma part in terra firma.

Hi healthi
Glad you enjoyed the cruise. I used to live in LA (actually Tustin) so was quite used to the "rattle and shakes". I was living "out there" during the big one that hit San Fernando Valley. Anyway, glad you had a good time on the cruise.
