Snowed in Again!

Looking out my window now and it looks like the North Pole! Again! Started snowing yesterday around 3:30 pm. Really comin` down now with a foot possible here in ol` Virginnie. Many years we get little to no snow being surrounded by water. Oh well, the kids will love it. -Lee

I like that kinda snow.... we are the kind of folks that like snow when we choose to ride up the mountain to play in it; not live in it

Hey Crabman, is it difficult to find a snow shovel on the "Shore"?

We usually get more snow than you, but you definately won (or lost) this time!

Unfortunately I do not even own one. I`m using brooms and regular shovels. I don`t know when I`ll be able to get out as I have fields by my house and road and with this much wind and snow the drifts will undoubtedly be a problem. And these country back roads are a low priority to the limited amount of snow removing equipment available here. Oh well, we`ll sit tight, dream of Spring and make the best of it! -Lee

BEGIN TO COOL AS THE WINDS COME OUT OF THE NORTHWEST.

...WINTER STORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM LATE MONDAY NIGHT
THROUGH WEDNESDAY MORNING...

VALLEY FLOORS WEDNESDAY.

* WINDS...SOUTHEAST 10 TO 20 MPH THROUGH TUESDAY NIGHT...THEN
SHIFTING TO WEST OR NORTHWEST WEDNESDAY MORNING AND
INCREASING TO 20 TO 30 MPH WITH GUSTS IN EXCESS OF 40 MPH
POSSIBLE AS THE STORM/S COLD FRONT MOVES THROUGH

* TIMING...LATE MONDAY NIGHT THROUGH WEDNESDAY MORNING. THE
STORM/S COLD FRONT IS EXPECTED BEFORE SUNRISE WEDNESDAY MORNING.

* IMPACTS...NEW SNOW ON ROADS COULD GREATLY AFFECT TRAVEL. ROAD

I live at about 6 feet above sea level. No big mountains here. Diggin` out from the big one this morning. Good news is they`re talking mid 50`s by Friday so maybe we`ll thaw out this week. -Lee
