Surge Protector

Why don’t RVs come with built in surge protectors?. Everyone tells me you have to protect your appliances. We experienced a surge last night and today we spent $300.00 on one. It they put it in the RV it would be much cheaper.

I have a friend who had a $250,000 class "A" and he had to buy a plug in surge protector.

I knew people had them and couldn’t understand why. Last night wow what a lesson. I would pay for one when I purchased my trailers , pop up and Fifth wheel. Lesson learned!
You can teach an old dog new tricks. With the help from everyone mine is plugged in now. Thank you everyone this was a big help.

If manufacturers did factory install them they would put in a surge protector, not an EMS which offers more protection.

Southwire SurgeGuard 34931 30 amp.
It tripped one time last night. It resets itself. Was well worth it.
