The heading on this part of the forum says...

"Talk about anything you like here."

So why was the thread about the DNC bus dumping human waste in a city street closed?

I was wondering the same thing, it didn't get out of hand from what I saw.

My guess is that because some people on this forum are incapable of calmly discussing any topics that involve politics...but I am guessing you already knew that.

I guess I just discovered that.

ETA: And it wasn't really a political thread, anyway. It was a thread related to RVs (that's why I posted it on this forum) that happened to involve political figures.

Although, you'll have to admit the two additional posting did suggest that the thread was heading in a rather messy direction...

This is what the driver said, I hope he never camps next to me.

The bus driver made the decision to dump the waste out of safety concerns, as he was concerned that the waste leaking from the bus’s sewage tank could put other cars at risk.

I would bet that even on this sub-forum there are topics that are taboo. To be honest, I never read the rules very closely for JOF as I already participate in a couple of other online fora, but I expect the rules probably ban subjects that are political, sexual, bigoted, degrading, etc.

Now if you want to talk about cousin Eddy using the sewer to dump his black tank, that would probably be okay. (talking about it, not actually doing it).

Perhaps it was a timing issue more than anything.
