My favorite - the sound of silence when walking Mindi at 5 AM through the CG.

My least favorite - the sounds of computers, TVs, cellphones, and other electronic devices that disturb the quiet peacefullness of my campsite and surrounding areas.

My favorite camping sound is also the sound of silence.

Although annoying, I enjoy the sound of the wobbling, random scuffling of a bicycle training wheel, made by young kids making lap after lap on the campground loop.

One sound I have mixed emotions about is one that is becoming rarer and rarer. I normally hear it in a place where I tent camp. It is the sound of the Eastern Whip-poor-will. Why do they sing when we are trying to sleep?

I have to go along with the distant train for my favorite sounds. In the mountain area is even better if the whistle sound echoes up through a valley. I heard a man say one time this sound "would bring a tear to a glass eye".

Lease favorite: Loud music regardless of type. Keep your sounds on your own site please or if you want to blast your ears apart, wear a headset. Music sound is right up there with the guy who has to leave a campground way early in the morning and has to "warm up" his diesel for 15-20 minutes before it will move.

Favorite - the muffled sounds of the grandkids back in the bunkroom while we're trying to go to sleep. Love having them with us.

Least favorite - when it's time to break camp, load up and go back to the everyday world.
