Tour a Great Lakes Freighter.....

When in the Michigan UP at the Soo Locks, make sure to tour the "Valley Camp" Great Lakes freighter that has been turned into a floating museum ship. You are allowed to tour the ship on your own, and almost all areas are accessible. The better part of the cargo hold has over 100 exhibits, including an Edmund Fitzgerald exhibit.

That is awesome, thanks for sharing.
We will have to visit that next time we get up that way. Been to Whitefish Point, and they told us there about the Soo. Nice to see these pictures of it.

I remember going there as a kid and my most vivid memory of the Valley Camp is whatever you do, don't run your hands along the cable "railings" around the deck. Lots of wire pokeys to snag your hands.
