We live in part of the affected area here in the Shenandoah Valley of VA. Apparently the storm caused damage and deaths from North Carolina to Maryland. We had sudden 80mph winds and at least 4 funnel clouds touch down in our immediate area, after a flawless day on Friday. No local warning whatsoever from the weather service as to conditions being right for tornadoes. My son-in-law was at McDonald's when it hit, and the wind drove a large umbrella through the side window of his truck, with the family inside. He got a cut on the neck, and damage to the truck, but was very fortunate. Many large trees down, and our power has been out for two days - just came back on an hour ago. 37,000 homes out of power in Winchester, 1 hour north of us. Don't know why things like this happen, but our Bible says all things work together for good for those who know the Lord. It also shows who is still really in charge, doesn't it.
