Tropical Storm In the Gulf

Looks like it might be our turn as we have a storm brewing in the Gulf of Mexico.
I work for a electrical utility, 28 years now, in Mississippi and they put us on alert this weekend, that means all vacations cancelled. :hihi:It's part of the job, as a matter of fact it's probably one of the most gratifying parts of the job. After people have been without power I love rolling into area and watching eyes, along with lights, light up.:hihi: After 28 years I have worked alot of storms, some worst than others, :lightning:From Hurricane Fredrick to Hurricane Katrina and I have got use to working Labor Day weekend, it always seems to be a storm in the Gulf around Labor Day. They are predicting over 20in of rain for our area. The storm has stalled so I they are not predicting landfall until Monday, hopefully at a Cat 1 or less.
P.S.--We sent crews North last week so we are a little short handed. Anyone see our crews in New York state give them a hand shake and tell them to hurry home. They will have (Mississippi Power Company-A southern Company )on the side of the trucks.

We all appreciate what you do. We may not have power, but we are inside and dry while you work.

Thank you.
