Vehicles with caution lights

I’m not sure how it is in your world, but here where I’m at, it seems every commercial vehicle on the road has a flashing caution light attached. It’s not that they are impeding traffic, or operating erratically, they are just traveling down the road at speed. There are so many that I’m becoming less sensitive to them. To make it even more an issue, here in my State, the State maintenance vehicles display flashing red and blue lights, just like those on the State Trooper cars. It is so commonplace that when I see one, I no longer slow down to the posted speed limit!!!

Against the law in AZ although some forget to turn them off and other don’t care until they get cited. Exceptions are emergency vehicles, snow removal etc. Wreckers are not exempt.

I agree. Some are warranted but a lot are just unnecessary. We work on a lot of fleet vehicles and some never go off. If the key is on, so are the lights. Mostly utility workers.
