Pulled the cover off after a long, cold winter. Will de-winterize this weekend and prep for our first trip of the year.

Mounted 2 new stabilizers amidship to reduce side to side movement. Got 'em from Harbor Freight on sale.

Drove my TT back to the dealer for warranty work. They couldn't fix it the way the DW wanted it. Seems picky, but, we paid a lot of $$$ for the TT!! Drove it back to my covered storage with more storms headed this way.

I have been doing a repair on my grey water tanks. Both have been chewed by a mouse. The entire underbelly is down other than where it goes over the wheels. I am certain the repair is going to work and I won't have to replace the tanks.

Unhappy

Well it is the shop, Found out when the magnets were changed in may 2013, the brakes were not adjusted right so it took out the brakes on the one side of the trailer
So had to put some new brakes on. I am so happy about that. I am glad I keep Receipts But Safety Frist.

7 more day, then camping

Finally was able to get out to the TT last weekend, was able to tackle some of my list:
- Put on the new License plate sticker
- Flushed the water lines
- Filled the fresh water tank and discovered the level sensor doesn't work
- Installed a new maxi vent roof vent cover
- while up there checked the sealant on roof and refilled as needed
- installed a screen guard over the water heater vent

Installed screen over water heater vent, furnace vent, and refrigerator vents. Built an ottoman that can use while sitting on couch - this stores between couch and sink counter and has room for DF's small trash container that is still usable while ottoman stored. Next up is a magazine rack by door on back side of dinette bench (today).

Bought some decent kitchen utensils and a small pot. Discussed with my son going up to Raleigh next month and do some camping and scuba diving at Fantasy Lake Scuba Park.

Replaced the dealer installed manual jack with an electric jack from Ebay.
Since our tt was once a trade-in, they removed the factory jack and then tried to sell it back to me for $150.
Drained the fresh water tank. Dealer filled it all the way up when we did the pre-delivery orientation 2 months ago. Been lugging 90 gallons of water around for no reason.
Ordered a new Fastway breakaway cable. I found a fray/pinch in the on trailer last week.

Bought Meguires RV/Marine 3 stage wax system

Stage 1 - Oxidization remover
Stage 2 - Polish
Stage 3 - Wax

The system is specially formulated for fiberglass trailers.

The front of my Jayco 213 was faded and lost its shine. Probably due to a combination of the abuse it gets from driving down the road and getting attacked by all the road grime, and the fact that it did have a lot of south exposure last year sitting in our driveway. I know built a 32x44 barn, so the trailer is out of the UV.

The 3 stage system did an AMAZING job on the fiberglass. It looks like new! Once the oxidization was removed the polish really made it shine again. Then I locked in that shine by applying wax. It really looks like a new trailer again. I only did the front of the trailer so far, it is a lot of work. So nice to see the decals shining again too.

It feels like Xmas in our house too. Wife and I are restocking the TT getting ready for our first trip this year to Fool Hollow Lake in AZ.
Checked the lug nuts on TT and TV.
Set proper air pressure in all 8 tires.
Cleaned and waxed front end.
Cleaned inside of TV.
Put sheets and blankets on bed.
Put beer in house frig to cool for trip!
Checked Fire Ball supply in house freezer, also for trip.
Restocked fishing poles and gear.
Lots to do tomorrow before Friday comes.
Happy RVing,
Jeff

Installed a Bal Hide-A-Spare. Took about 1/2 hour to install, very easy. Appears well constructed and easy to use. I had taken it off the rear bumper to keep the bike rack from sticking out so far. Got really tired of moving it around the back of the truck, always seemed to be in the way.
