Gave her a much needed bath, ran the slide out, made another batch of ice, gave the inside a good once-over with the "California Duster". Tonight DW goes to the store for supplies, and I do some electrical work...

Going to pick up our 5er today and head out to one of our favorite National Forest Campgrounds for 4 days of camping and kayaking with friends. Looking forward to a fantastic time with good people.

We lost water in the park again yesterday due to another burst pipe. The first time all I ended up with was two plugged up water filters since I didn't know the water was off. When it came back on I didn't know of the problem until it was time for two new filters. When it happened yesterday I turned off incoming water and used my fresh water tank until it was back on. Then ran a hose outside on the ground for 30 minutes to hopefully purge any crud from the repaired water line. Then turned it back on for my 5'er. So far so good. Dodged the bullet this time it seems.

Nothing for the past 4 days.
Gotta get in there and clean up from the Independence Day weekend trip.
Still got unwashed dishes in the sink.

Drove to the storage lot and started the fridge. Also put on a rubber "locking" bumper cap since my OEM cap fell off and drug my sewer hose. I need another sewer hose now.
The DW is taking the TT camping this weekend with some of her gal friends. I have a feeling we will be banned from that CG for the rest of the year knowing how loud they get when they drink.

Today I spent the morning cleaning the inside from front to back, top to bottom. Replaced all the inside halogen bulbs with LEDs. It looked and smelled so nice when I closed up the slides. Tomorrow I will be cleaning all the bugs off the front of the TT. Have to get an early start before the heat comes on.

Did a lot of little maintenance and cleanup jobs on the exterior. Will give her a bath when we get back home this afternoon.

Checked and added a little water to my two Trojan T-105's. I check them every spring and fall. They are approaching 5 years old and show no signs of age.

Added a new look to the kitchen backsplash.
The wallpaper look just didn't work so I was given a project.
I pulled the window valence and blind down so I could complete the look.
It went well, some cutting and trimming but the back splash looks good and can now be wiped down if anything does get on it. I used a peel and stick tile that we picked up at Lowes. It took 3 packs.

After that, it's the curtains. Then the upholstery. Next thing y'know, the cabinets are getting refinished.

Just got back from our first dry camp excursion in our new Pinnacle and found out that the batteries do not keep our refrigerator going for more than 5 hours. Looks like I'll be spending some time today looking at remedies other 5ers have posted to see how we can fix this issue. We love to dry camp as we have lots of very beautiful National Forest Campgrounds in our lovely part of the world. We also need to clean about a bazillion bugs off the cap and bathe the rest.

Does your new Pinnacle has a residential refrigerator? The more I hear about them vs Norcold/Dometic, etc. the less I want one. I know my Norcold is more expensive, doesn't cool as well (but plenty good for me), but it will run on a battery and propane for a long time between charges or need to plug in or run the generator. I spend 5 days at a car race every fall and if it wasn't for the grandchildren's need for television, I wouldn't run my generator at all for the entire 5 days.

Yes, we do have a Samsung residential refrigerator. I love it, especially having a Dometic in previous campers. I am confident we will figure out a way to be able to boondock with minimal generator time. We just need to do a bit of research and make some mods.
