I have no idea Bill. I'm not a race fan. I am a Shriner and will be volunteering at the track. We are providing drivers for the handicapped golf carts and others that can't walk the distances from the camping/parking areas. We will definitely be busy I'm sure.
But back to your question: You never know what you may see in a crowd of this size, real or imagined. We might even see Big Foot.

Storage check over the weekend. My son's first birthday last weekend and we needed some yard games that we normally keep in the trailer. So I took the opportunity to check things out and put some more water in the toilet. All is well, just waiting for the next big adventure! Not 'till November...
Also ordered a set of tires! They should be here Thursday. Then I just need to get them mounted and install them, then get a state inspection so I can renew the registration, and I'll finally be back to par!!

Embalmed it, laced with dryer sheets, and covered it up! (sigh!)

Fixed the problem with the overflow lines siphoning water out of the fresh water tank. Found these 1/2" barbed valves at Home Depot, secured them with hose clamps, which was probably overkill since they were so darn hard to get the lines on them.

Dumped waste tanks again. I'm concerned a little about the plastic wheels on my Thetford waste tote. I bought a pair of 6" pneumatic wheels/tires. Need to find a 5/8 shaft and rig up a dolly so it rolls a little easier. And I'd hate for one of the plastic wheels to shatter while in motion. The rocks out here would eat a hole in the tote bottom in no time.

I installed a Camco Silent Top Oak Accents cover over our stove to replace the folding steel cover that was on it. The quiet is much appreciated.
I noticed that they also sell four nylon grommets to put between the stove grate and the stove to help quiet noise. The four grommets would cost about $9. How would these be different from four that I could pick up at Ace Hardware for a buck or that I might even find in my workshop for free?

Heading south for the winter. Currently in Staunton VA and heading to Pensacola FL. Started in Ottawa and then Boston. Hitting some great gas prices, 1.96/gal was the best I've seen so far.

Also got to try out the 5 Star tune I picked up during the summer on a group buy. Was a huge improvement on the tranny shifting. Any hill using the cruise would jump from 5 to 3rd gear, PITA.
Drove through NYC, VT, MA, CT so far and with the cruise and hills drivability was much improved. Made for a relaxing drive for once.

Pulled camp and moved a few hundred yards to a different spot, for a few reasons. First, I wanted to change the orientation of my TT so the front door side is facing south, instead of north. It's getting cooler and I want the sun to shine through the big window to add heat if I want. Second, there was a roadway just 20 feet or so from my door- too close, especially now that more people are arriving out here in the LTVA. And lastly, I now have a much larger area for my TT, and it's more secluded.
Problem is, I strained my lower back while moving all my crap. Dang it! I think it'll be ok if I take it easy for a couple of days. At least I made myself get everything set up to a functional state in my new spot. I think I wore my back out yesterday when I did a 2 hour bike ride. Other than the back, life is good!

We thought "Winter Storage"
After five great months of camping with our new unit we decided a couple weeks ago to have it winterized and washed and covered up for storage....done in much nicer weather but feeling good about it....well one week later we received call from storage place (we've had same place for over 25 years) our coach was hit by a guy who cut corner too short so we received passenger side front end damages. Today was spent uncovering unit and taking it to have repaired. .
Thankful that the guy was very honest about the accident. His unit was only 24 hours old...

We washed our TT with Optimum (NRWW2012G) No Rinse Wash & Wax for the first time. It was really in need of a wash but since we are in a severe drought here in California we didn't want to do it the old fashioned way with a bucket and hose.
DW & I were very impressed with how easy it was to apply and how well it removed smug marks and bird droppings. To be honest I didn't think it would work without rinsing first. We give it 5 stars.
Another benefit to Optimum is you can use it at the storage lot without a hose. All you need is a 5 gallon bucket with 2 gallons of water, a microfiber mop on a pole, a microfiber mitt, a few microfiber towels, and a 6 foot step ladder. That's it.

Returned from our trip to the Smoky Mountains. Brought our TT back to the house to clean up and winterize, then on to storage until spring. I'm sad.

Removed the 7/16" plywood base on the dinette seating and replaced it with 5/8" cabinet grade plywood. The 2 extra plys makes a difference weather your sitting or sleeping. I only sleep there when I'm running straight for 3-4 days to reach a destination .
