Got my TT set up at Dash Point SP for my 2 month maintenance host position. Dang, no more travels for for a while. I think I'm going to be missing the road one of these days.

Upgraded from a 10,000lb E2 hitch to a 12,000 Equal-i-zer hitch recently. Noticed that most of the wear was on the leading edge of the "L" brackets and the hitch was really making a lot of noise when turning corners. Lowered the brackets one hole and added a washer to keep the weight distribution the same. Added the plastic sway bar jackets, now there is no more noise and the sway bars are parallel to the frame. Also did a little tongue weight experiment. Put the tongue on my Sherline scale and filled the fresh water tank - I have the elite package with 80 gallons water capacity. Because of the tank location, close to the axles, there was very little change in tongue weight.

After this cup I'm getting organized to hook up for the trip from Talladega Superspeedway to St. Andrews State Park, Panama City, FL where I will be hosting until 9-15-16.

It wasn't my Jayco I worked on, but my neighboring camp host's Keystone trailer I worked on. His Atwood refrigerator quit working a few days ago. Lost all cooling, so he's been keeping it cold with ice inside.

I looked through the Atwood manual he had, studied it a bit, and tinkered around. It was set on Auto mode, and by default went to AC power when turned on. I set it manually to Gas mode, and it started working.

There were no trouble codes that came up, but my suspicion is that the electric element is burned out. There's no trouble code listed for that problem, though there would have been a code if there was no AC power. Anyway, his food's getting cold now, so he has time to get it fixed under warranty.

Take one wire off the element, (with power off) and check the resistance across the element. If more than 15 ohms, it's toast.

Uneventful trip yesterday. Now all set up at St. Andrews and is it nice to have a/c again without having to run the generator.

Thanks Norty. Yeah, I thought about digging into the problem deeper, but he was happy it was working, and I think he felt like it would be imposing on me to do any more. And since it's a brand new TT (and his first) and under warranty, it's probably good for him to have the experience of dealing with having warranty work done at a dealer. LOL

He was going to try switching from gas to AC power today to see if it would work in that mode. Another possibility is that the control program just sort of freaked out and needed to be reset. When we disconnected the DC power from the fridge, it could have reset it.

Finished packing it up for the first shakedown tomorrow. Checked all fluids and tires today; got a rude awakening on tire pressure. I added air last week after checking with digital tire pressure gauge. Checked again today with new high-range analog gauge and found I had over-inflated the tires by 15 psi. Brought the front down to 75 psi and the rears to 80 psi. Glad I checked before heading out in the morning.

New digital thermostat and master bedroom headboard recovered. Can't take credit for the headboard mod that was the DW. The hide a bed is in the shop and the new theater seats go in tomorrow.

I just installed a shower surround in my SLX 145RB. It has always bugged me that the shower would spray directly on the luan paneling, so I will start this season with a new Lyons shower.

I used to have a pop up trailer. I got the idea to use my old Pop Up Gizmo over my slide out on my X213 and it fits great!

Inspected the roof. Found a few loose screws on the Maxxair II cover and a few loose staples sticking up under the roof material. Plan to repair them tomorrow.

Well I didn't make it over to say hello. Boy we lucked out on the rain, and got some good racing in.

Got the new theater seats installed. They feel great, heat, massage, and LED lights at the floor level. Way too much dark brown from the factory so DW is "lightening up" the bedroom. DW working on the valances to match the headboard she did a couple days back.

Took it on its maiden voyage to Disney World's Fort Wilderness although there is very little wilderness about this place! Beautiful campground. The Redhawk did well on the 200+ mile journey to get here. Sweet spot seems to be around 62-63 mph. Looking forward to sun tomorrow after a full day of rain today.

I'm sorry you didn't make it, but I was gone from 6:30-7:00'ish each day anyway. And yes we did luck out. It was a wet mess driving the ADA cart around in the rain after the race, but it all worked out.

On a side note, I didn't leave until Monday morning and managed to get out to drive pavement with only a dozen or so spots of mud on my 5th wheel. I couldn't believe I got it out so clean.

If you are in Panama City between now and September give me a shout. I'm not that busy down this way.

I needed a new door mat to go with my new steps and this one just jumped out at me. And the landing gear type feet of the Glowstep Revolution steps keeps the mat from taking off.

Replaced the gas struts under the bed. The originals were slowly getting weak. The new skylight showed up on the front porch yesterday, so I'm waiting for the next warm day.

Replaced both water filters in my 2 stage system. I'm now ready for several hundred gallons of nice filtered water. I had to replace the O-ring in one of the filter cartridges since it had finally compressed enough that it was seeping just a tad.
