I'm still in Freeport this morning. We had a couple of light showers yesterday and no wind to speak of. It seems I went far enough west to get out of most all of it. Now we see how long it takes for my original park to open back up. The tropical storm warnings were removed at 4:00am CDT this morning. Since I am all set up and paid for for tonight too, I might not go back until tomorrow. Time will tell.

Crawled under it to adjust the brakes as I was't happy with the way they performed last time out. While under there, found a broken wire at the rear axle - no wonder performance wasn't what it should have been. Made the repair, adjusted the brakes, and now good to go next weekend.

That's a great idea bansai. I would like to swap out the locks on our trailer with these as well. I looked on Amazon, and there are several styles to choose from. If I may ask, what model did you use? And is the length 0.625? Thanks in advance.

Installed Furrion High Speed Rear Observation Camera

Getting ready for a 650 mile round trip next week and I wanted to get this done beforehand. Thanks to Duke_26, who posted his install experience here, it went smoothly.

I haven't towed yet but I tested the range of the camera and got over 500 feet from my rig without a flicker or change in picture quality on the monitor. Makes me hopeful that this was a good choice.

I bought this unit on EBay for $279, which I think is a terrific deal for the high-speed observation and backup camera.

Finally got around to installing a plexiglass sheet in the lower half of the screen door. Our Doxies are tough on screens.

Looks great Mikey!! Let us know how it works out for you on your trip. We are on our 11th camping trip of the summer and can't imagine not having it while towing the TT.

Emptied out the under-bed storage and gave it a good cleaning. Have another 10-day trip in a couple of weeks so starting to work through my list of things to clean and check before heading out.

I washed my roof. And then the corrigated aluminum trailer.
Got most of the stuff off the roof, but some black spots refuse to come off. Oh, well...cleaner than it was.

I used most of my fresh water tank today washing several loads of laundry and taking a shower. Then refilled the tank.

And what happened 4-5 hours later? A thunderstorm passed and the fresh water supply to the entire park failed. I'm sure glad I always keep my fresh water tank full even when on a full hookup site. I was just cycling the water today to keep it fresh.

I'm sure the county water dept will get it working and it may be working again now, but I'll check it in the morning. I have water (great big smile).

Took inventory and organized the pantry so we use up the food we have instead of hauling it home when we close up for the season.

Also had to fix a small water leak at the shower valve. Just needed tightened.

And sigh, noticed a small dent where a chair had been pushed against the camper side.

Hauled it home from storage. It was too dark to get on the roof, so I made a couple adjustments to the hitch brackets, and finished sealing up my duct work. Tomorrow will be roof inspection, insulate the roof AC unit, and give her a bath. There are a few other things on the list, so we'll see if I can get to them.

We have had several days of thunderstorms in this area in the past few days and during one of them lightning struck a pine tree that was close to a large fresh water line feeding the campground where I am hosting. Per the attached picture this water line lost. The park was without fresh water and the bathhouses were all closed for 2 days. I always fill my fresh tank when I arrive for cases like this so I was ok. Others in the park weren't so lucky and weren't happy.

I don't know if it was related to this particular lighting strike or not, but we had one entire row of sites where the 50 amp service lost a leg. I'm not on this particular circuit, but close and I lost a leg. It turned out to be my EMS PT50C was reading both legs voltage coming in from the pedestal, but it was not passing voltage on one leg to my rig. It seems it protected me from something and died in the process. So I pulled my spare PT50C out of it's box and put it in service (I absolutely will not plug in anywhere without a PT50C). All is well now with both legs being powered normally and the original PT50C is headed back to PI for warranty service. It had been in full time service since April 2012 so thank goodness for the product and also it's lifetime warranty. I had zero damage in my rig.
