5 New Maxxis M8008's arrived this afternoon. Ordered direct from Maxxis Canada. ST185/80R13. Look pretty good, but a bit disappointed with a 3415 production code. A bit more than 20 months old already, direct from the mfg.

Have to wait for a bit more snow to melt so I can get the TT out of storage and over to the Kal-Tire to have the installation done.

Yes, I'd be disappointed also. The Maxxis on the new Jayco we purchased last month, manufactured in November of 2016, had 39/16 date codes.

I would not have accepted them and been on the phone, almost two years old already. I know the boat from Thailand is a little slow but that is unacceptable.
They are sure off my list, I will be looking at Goodyear next time.

Just picked our 27DSLR up from it's spring check-up.
Had 4 new Goodyears put on it, axles repacked, shower re-caulked and the usual spring check.

Should be ready to go for lots of trips in 2017! Our three big ones are a SD Black Hills run staying in Spearfish, a week in Glacier and a week hitting a number of parks on the north shore of Superior in MN.

DeWinterized today by placing a 5gal bucket under the low points and I winterized with a little less than a gallon and a 1/2 so that's not a bad recovery.

It's hard not to "accept" them. Took the afternoon off work to be at home and receive them. UPS had indicated a 1:45-5:45 delivery window. I got home at 12:30. They were already stacked in front of the front door. The UPS guy was obviously ahead of schedule. Interesting thing is I got the delivery complete notification at exactly 1:44 pm. I guess the driver stacks em up and sends the notifications as soon as the actual window opens.

Yes, I will express my disappointment to the company rep. We'll see what happens, but I expect not much. On the plus side, they will still probably last much longer than the average China bombs. Also, Goodyear does not manufacture in this size anymore (even though my OEM's are GY). Carlise was my only other reasonable option, and I couldn't seem to get the new LR-D tires here in Canada yet, so picked Maxxis as the best reputation for my particular fitment.

ETA: In considering how hard my particular size seems to be to locate (ie. Goodyear has dropped from the old line, and not in the new lineup), perhaps they don't run this small size very often. I wonder how often a factory would swap over molds for each run of tires. It's not like they make every size every day, and unpopular sizes probably don't run often. 20 months old is about 7% of the average 300 month lifespan. And the sale price was $30 off list per tire.

Drug it to the flying j and dumped the tanks.
It's been in the driveway and utilized as an extra bedroom for the last 2 weeks.
Defrosted the fridge.
Aired up all tires.

Used Eternabond for the first time this evening. Did the front cap and fridge cover area. This stuff is amazing how it conforms to existing caulk. I purchased a nice steel roller with ball bearings to secure the tape. Cleaned everything with the Eternabond cleaner. Looks great. Should've brought my camera with me.

I put Liquid Gold on all our wood in the travel trailer. Also put on the mount-n-lock that I received today.

No disrespect here, and a lot of funnin' around, but I can't believe anyone would really recover" a $1.99 gallon jug of antifreeze, assuming it's for reuse next year.
I used 3 gallons in my 2011 32BHDS after blowing the lines out with air to ensure EVERYTHING was protected. Probably lost most filling p-traps, a bit in the water storage tanks, and a bit in the grey and black tanks to protect the valves. Are people saving that too, in jugs marked "poo poo tank" and "drinking water tank" too? At $6.00 a year for three gallons, I cant imagine a few hundred dollars over 40 years of camping would make anyone lose sleep. Is there a point I am missing? Is it a "green" or Tree hugging thing? Just curious. I'd lose more sleep over the dilution of the reused antifreeze over the years, because of the water still not purged from the system. Years ago, I remember guys on RV.net using cheap vodka to "save money", but that seemed just crazy. Interested to know the psychology.

Maybe he didn't want it to go into his septic tank, or into the water table, or leak it out and have his cat drink it.

Very well could be. Just curious. Being food grade antifreeze, it would take a lot more than a couple gallons to do any harm to a water table or septic... or a mouser.
