Hi Ken,
The Rainer tires on our TT look fine and are wearing evenly. I've read many threads on this forum about the issues that the Rainer tires are having. Blowouts were our biggest concern. We decided to play it safe and get some U.S. made tires now before our 3rd annual summer trip to Oregon and Washington.

ac 20 amp breaker

In our 16 Eagle if I plug one ac into a GFI plug and it say 100 outside it will blow the GFI in about 1 hour.We decided to drag the shore cord into the laundry room and try the AC on the dryer outlet. Much better results. The 15000 ac units take so much start up power I don't know if their worth it. Happy Trails

Hi bdreinv,

Two things: 1) I don't have a GFI outlet or GFCI breaker on that circuit and 2) My AC is the 13.5K btu model, not 15K btu. I'm sure the 15K would trip my breaker at start up. For that reason alone I'm glad my TT came with the standard unit.

Desert RVers, Good to know about the Rainer tires. I'll check the brand on mine the next time I'm at the storage lot.

Got me worried about my 15k a/c. We've only had to use it once so far and it wasn't that hot out at the time so no issue. Makes me wonder when it is hot out what will happen

Gotta love it when you bring home the RV early to hook up to shore to get the fridge cooling down for this weekends upcoming trip...oh, but wait...there's no electricity at the house (whole neighborhood) and the estimated time to fix is 6:30 tonight! [emoji35]

The best part is that I can already see it coming...the DW will be asking to go out to dinner! Rant over.

New Shoes

We pulled the tt out of storage this morning and took it over to America's Tire to have the new shoes installed. The Goodyear Endurance tires sure look nice. We both feel much better knowing we don't have the dreaded Rainer tires on there any more. Now there are only 2 major chores left before our summer trip to the PNW. First will be to switch from the EZ lube axle seals to the standard seals after packing the bearings the old fashioned way. Next will be the water heater flush. I tried to do it this morning but I don't have the proper size wrench or socket. I was able to fit a crescent wrench in there, but couldn't move it much.

Installed a set of Bearing Buddy Quick Lube dust caps on our Coleman Tent Trailer. Thought I'd try a set on that trailer before buying 2 sets for the Jayco TT. I really like the quality and the perfect fit.

Re-worked the dealer installed Oxygenics shower head and now it works. Took all the linens out to wash and put back. Cut some 1x8's and 2x8's for leveling. Lubed the rear steps so they don't squeak anymore.
