What did you do to your Jayco Today

Curious what type spring did you use for your screen door? It would be really nice for the screen to close automatically! Thanks

Picked it up from the dealer after 10 weeks of warranty work and upon arriving home and firing things up, we immediately smelled propane.

Shut everything off and discovered that not one but both OEM pigtails had sprung leaks at the end of the hose next to the tank connectors. So replaced the whole regulator setup with my spare for now. Hopefully everything else is ready to go.

I purchased the springs at Home Depot, they are packaged with two springs, I used the shorter of the two. I also purchased some clear plastic tubing which protects the door and minimizes any noise.

Dismantled the bathroom ceiling fan for a MAJOR cleaning. When I was going to increase the fan speed, I noticed that I could not see the fan blade motor. Well, I started removing panels and a few wires until .753819 of the assembly was hanging down and I was able to get at all the hidden parts that were coated with accumulated dust/dirt. 40 minutes later I had it all back together nice and clean. Will DW notice it? Probably not as she is only 5'4". Now how do I clean the top of the fan's dome without taking the outside fan cover off.... maybe a remote controlled robotic arm with a sponge...hummm.. need to put that on the electronics project list.

I added some reflectix to all my roof vents and a couple windows to help keep out the heat.

I spun my wheels and pumped some grease into my spindles in preparation for our upcoming two weeks in the Finger Lakes. Also checked levels in the batteries.

I backed my precept into a tree in the rain. Didn't use a spotter. Shame on me. Punched out the upper tail light and the damage included the circuit board with all the leds. This is going to be a costly lesson...

I had an idea on our last trip. We have 2 tv remotes, another for the stereo and another for the sound bar. I have a lamp between our chairs and I put a strip of black Velcro around the wide part of it and put a small square of matching Velcro on each remote. Also put some on the cubby hole by the radio and one by the sofa. Now when ever you are sitting, there is some where to put the coffee cup. All remotes not in my hand are on the lamp or somewhere not taking up counter space.

In the bedroom, I did the same thing with the sleep number remote so either of us can reach it on the middle of the headboard.

I looked at mine, and thought to myself....I need to get away. Then I grabbed a couple of beers, and had a cold one with one of my sons.

Took a snooze in it while running the monthly generator maintenance. Then finished cleaning it out from last weekend so we can start prepping for the upcoming trip to southern Utah in a couple of weeks...

The power went out to the entire campground and a lot of the surrounding area yesterday afternoon at 4:53pm. It was HOT outside. When it was obvious after checking the power company web site that power would not be restored until approx 2 hours later I reverted to Plan B. Went outside and turned off the main breaker at the power pedestal and went back inside and fired up the Onan then both a/c's and the TV. While my neighbors were dying in the heat I was comfy drinking ice tea and watching TV in cool comfort.

I always run my Onan for an hour under load on the first of every month, but this time it was done on the last day. Now what to do today?

Just drink some tea and mark the run off the list. LOL

Cook up some Canadian Bacon and sing O'Canada.

Happy 150 to all our Canadian Jayco travelers.

I've finished the major refitting job. Now we are continuing to load the new 23RB, slowly getting her ready for her maiden voyage.

Still have some refittings to do, including changing out the Coleman-Mach analog thermostat with a digital one. Want to add foldable cup holders on the end of the sofa. Also, am looking for the right sized shoe rack, or something that could be used for shoe storage to put over the curbside fender well just behind the dinette. Also am looking for a counter extender and a stove top cover.

Fixed WhiteHawk shower

We've owned a 2013 Whitehawk we purchased in 2015. We love the trailer but have felt the need to do some upgrades. Starting with tires, reinforcing the main bed adding 12 volt sockets for cpap machines in the bedroom, swapped out the bag of rocks mattress for a memory foam, changing out all the lights to LED's. Bathroom facet and thicker plywood on the bench seats and some reinforcing the benches them selves. Modified the top kitchen drawer for silverware with wood dividers. Put second shelf in the large cabinet over the sink. Changed out the thermostat to digital, and installed a hard start capacitor in the air conditioner. Yesterday I spent most of the day reinforcing the floor of shower that we were scared to use because it was so poorly supported underneath, that was fun! Put some some Reflectix over a couple windows and the skylight with velcro. Today I plan to put a power strip under the window of the booth with usb ports as well as 120 sockets. Will use velcro for that as well. I should have some Polyglow fiber glass restorer in the mail today and that will be used on the front as its looking pretty faded. There are other things but this is getting to long but you get the idea.

I purchased some SS 8-32 bolts and nyloc nuts and reinstalled all 2 of my Maxxair vent covers. Before and after does not look to different but now I know they won't be loosening up anymore.
