Backflushed our black tank & gray tank 3 times each with our new Camco Dual Flush Pro Valve. That thing worked great. It's so easy to use I plan to use it each time I dump at home.

Actually I will do the following after 8:00am this morning. Quiet time you know. I usually do these items on the first of every month, but I was busy so 4 days late this month.

Run generator under load for 1 hour
Switch water heater to propane and run a load of laundry
Switch norcold to propane for the day

I have done this each and every month since August 2010.

Unhappy Vacation over

We have been back from Sturgis for 2 weeks and I just got the energy to wash the entire RV, to include the roof. I think EVERY freaking bug between FL and SD died on the front cap of my Seismic. But she's clean now.

Unzipped the cover at the door and opened the door and a window for some fresh air venting; checked every inch for leaks, damage, pests, loose material; refreshed Damp-Rid. She's sleeping like a baby! I hope the decals and seals are slurping up all of the 303 protectant that I saturated the entire exterior with.

I pushed the stereo back so far in the hole I couldn't pull it back out with my fingers. 7 months old and USB stopped working so if it gets destroyed coming out no loss

Finished installing containers for sewer hoses, gutters, chairs, tables and the stuff you need to carry to set-up. Also added a sliding shelf to make accessing thing in the back easy. Jayco FW 317RLOK

Finished loading up the fridge along with the rest of the stuff that goes in the camper. Had to take an extra hour or so to wash off all the wildfire ash that fell overnight. Geez what a mess, especially on the roof.... It looks like we had an easterly wind overnight that blew it in from east of the Cascades mountain range. All the smoke and dust particles in the air last night turn the moon very red as well - a rather strange sight for sure.

Played plumber
The water pump would run but pump nothing
There is a filter that was clogged
In the middle of troubleshootering found out no hot water
Now am familiar with every valve in the water system
Boondocking Badlands NP
All fixed no parts required.
This little unit has been very reliable and a good way to learn about mechanical systems. No fancy stuff required

Just in case

Fired up the fridge and started loading it up if we decide to get out of Dodge. If so, we will leave in the morning and head to Mobile. NOT looking forward to the traffic on I 75, it's already packed. Irma, go away !!!

Buttoned everything up and hauled it back to the storage lot last night. Not particularly happy about that, but I guess it is what it is.

I hate to be alarmist but the traffic will only get worse. Of course you want to know if Mobike is safe or not so I understand the delay.
Do you think back roads would be better like 27 ?

I think by tomorrow morning the tourists should be gone and only locals evacuating so I'm sure 27 will be just as bad. Will stay on back roads until Ocala then see what it looks like. Have lived in hurricane areas most of my life and only time I had to evacuate was working at the shipyard in Portland. If I remember right that was Bob.

Last time I went back to see family in Orlando I couldn't tell there were any back roads left.

Hee hee. We went to Orlando this past winter. Never again
The back roads are quarter sucking parkways
