I flipped through the showroom book again since I'm still waiting on the phone call from the dealer to come and get it

Had already winterized it at the campground before leaving this past weekend.

So washed it. Next to wax and cover....

Honda

The Honda Gen set: When we had them out last time, one of the generators was running rough, missing, and would die every so often. They are still under warranty so I took the one to the service center where we bought it. There was a service bulletin (not a recall) on the EU2000I Honda Companion that we have. It seams that certain serial numbers have a faulty spark plug cap. The service center replaced the part under warranty at no cost to me. For those that have Honda Gen set that is out of warranty,it is a easy fix and honda will sell you the part. Service tech said about $25.00, but we all know how that goes sometimes. You can look up the Generator numbers here:

https://www.smokstak.com/forum/showthread.php?t=171860

Before I changed the oil (in both Generators) and put them away for the winter, I ran it for two hours with a space heater. The problem was cured.
Time to wait for next spring for more camping.

Today we replaced the fabric for the patio awning and added nuts to the A/C mounting bolts to stop them backing off.

Now it should not leak after a drive down the road, just hoping the unit did not rub holes in the rubber roof while it was moving around on the roof.

Took the motorhome to dealer for some warranty work. Hope to have it back soon so we can take our next scheduled trip. Our dealer, Johnnie Walker RV, in Las Vegas, Nevada is an excellent dealer. Their customer services is top notch.

I just cut the heater off since it's not supposed to reach freezing the rest of the week. I keep telling myself that winterizing it means I have conceded to old man winter and that I won't camp till it warms up.
Keep it plugged into the home and burn that propane it'll pay off I continue to tell myself.

Waiting on delivery of a Fast-Way One Step wheel chock and thermostat for the heater. In the meantime I'm making a hook to hang the Tabasco antique wall plaque I picked up this week.
If the Fast-Way wheel chock works I'll purchase another one and hopefully while they are still on sale.

Hung the Tabasco plaque and mounted the new T-stat for the heater and it works just fine. Now just sittin on the coach me, myself and I with a beverage celebrating my small but yet very satisfying accomplishment in what I consider one small step for man one giant step towards a happier wife.

Removed the cheap cardboard bottom from the dinette chairs in our 2018 28.5 Eagle HT that had come loose. Used it as a pattern and cut new bottoms out of 1/4 inch paneling. Attached the new bottoms and we can now store stuff in them without anything falling through. Looks a lot nicer also.

Had a big day, made and replaced the hinged support for the main slide out wiring. Previous owner had a tire blow that took out the original support.
Then washed and waxed the end caps, now I wish I had sanded the whole front cap with 1500 wet & dry, not just the really bad bits. Something for next time I get all keen to do something.

Checked the tire pressure and added a couple pounds in each to get them back to max sidewall of 50lbs. Also fixed a loose LED fixture above the bed. Turns out only 3 of the 4 screws holding it to the ceiling actually hit wood. Due to poor alignment one of them just went up into the opening cut for the wires. Moved the fixture over about 1/2" and all is good....

We were supposed to get a hard freeze overnight, so I winterized last night after work in the dark. Drained the water heater, and blew out all the lines with compressed air. Then drained the tanks as it was being used as guest quarters until the previous weekend. Have a new freshwater drain on order as mine snapped while trying to open it.

We plan on using it again a day or two after Christmas so I don't have to worry about draining the pink stuff. We use it all winter so I've always just blown the lines out between uses. I do put a little bit down the drains though to protect the traps.

Replaced thermostat in Jayco Eagle with Honeywell digital thermostat. The new Honeywell thermostat I purchased came in white, so I disassembled the unit and spray painted it black. It matches the color of other controllers very well. The digital thermostat provides better temperature control in our 5th wheel. It was a guessing game to the set temperature with the existing analog thermostat.
