Thermostat
I needed a little therapy today so I built a fun project. I always wished for some light in these great thermostats. What can I say... I still like shiny objects

I replaced all the interior lights with LED’s, 20 total, so far so good! It sure is a lot brighter in here.
Looking forward to the next boondock trip to see if I recognize a difference in battery life.

Nothing, I slept late, didn't even go over to the Beast. Tomorrow I'll start again.

What Did You Do To Your Jayco TODAY?
Towed the camper home and got it all opened up and ready for the season. Everything is good to go and ten days can’t go fast enough.

Locked myself out of the shop, so not much. Straightened up the mess from Friday, got ready to get more done tomorrow. I hope.

HVAC and plumbing
Replaced the grates in the bath and bedrooms with adjustable units. Unclogged the toilet via the boiling water method. Time to relax now.

Found a company that does custom things. Because I like to fish I bought 4 of these Cherry wood coasters and 4 16oz glasses with the same logo on it for the camper. Got a t-shirt while I was at it. Conversation pieces if nothin else.

Washed the bugs off it from the most recent trip and re-waxed the front. Ready to roll for the next trip....

26xd , installed baggage door catches. RVdidnt come with any so had to hold door up while getting stuff out. got colonial white ones and they match color of rv pretty close. used 3M double sided molding tape to secure them. Couldn't bring myself to drill holes in new RV. Also lowered clothes rod in closet about 2in and moved forward about 2 in. DW is 5ft 2 and had a hard time reaching. Put a canvas over the door shoe holder on inside of closet door. Holds DW s shoes. I wear my one pair.

We spent a few minutes in the rig last night taking care of some odds and ends, mostly with command hooks and command strips. We finally hung up our pictures, and we had a couple wooden placards we wanted to hang that say "Not all who wander are lost" and "Adventure is waiting". They kind of fit our theme for the MH. We hung up a couple strings of lantern lights that we found at Target that are pretty cool too.
I also trimmed some Reflectix to block out our skylight (err, I mean ceiling-mounted space heater). It made an immediate difference. I just put it up with the command strips you use to hang pictures for now, I'll come up with something a bit more "stout" later. I also mopped the floor. There's hardly a shred of carpet in our rig (which I like), but sweeping doesn't quite do it (dog drool is a problem I wasn't expecting!). I picked up a Swiffer and some of the "wet" pads. It works pretty well except I need 2 pads to finish the job.
As we run down the road, the only noise that comes from the coach (that's annoying enough to take action on anyway) is the styrofoam around the water heater. So I tried to see if I could remedy that. The water heater rides below the stove and is covered by a vented panel. I didn't really find a workable solution after a couple minutes of poking around. So I'm going to have the rear tires balanced and see if that helps. Having the fronts done made a huge difference. If it's still annoying me after the suspension and tires are all squared away, I'll look at it again.
It's an interesting journey "moving into" another RV. We made the last one more home-like over the 5 years we owned it, and now we need to redo a bunch of that stuff to make this one more homey. Seems like we had more time back then...

Washed it. Ready to hook it up Friday and pull out early Saturday morning for a week at the beach.

Continued work on exterior. Started removing old and rotten caulk. 100+ degree heat curtailed a lot of the work. Thank heavens the a/c works, and well. Usual stuff, cleaned, again, cooked out, nice. Plan on same tomorrow.

Washed the linens and loaded them back up, made the bed, emptied the tanks. She's ready to go back in storage this evening.

Took out the new water pump to trouble shoot excessive air in the lines, not the water pump back to the drawing board. Continued the never ending job of removing bad/old/rotten and wrongly applied caulking. Still trying to get all the graphics off in 100+ degree weather. Not fun. More to come.

Took her to an RV wash in Dawson Creek, British Columbia. Lots of road grit & dirt and lots of bugs. Much nicer now as we head on north to Fort Nelson, British Columbia in the morning.

Dropped it off at storage last night after giving DW's aunt and uncle the dime tour.
I miss it already.
