Checked it over inside and out for damage or water leaks after last night’s severe thunderstorms. Winds in excess of 80 MPH for an hour with 4 1/2” of rain. We were lucky there was no hail. Power was out for 12 hours. The camper is parked beside the house and luckily we had the slides in. It was facing into the wind thank goodness. Glad to report that no damage or water leaks were found. Really happy!

Ripped up the new floor we finished last week. Starting a new one. Problems obviously with "new." Fun, fun.

Today I made it my own! Just upgraded from a small Winnebago Winnie Drop to a 2018 Jayco Whitehawk 26RK. Excited for my first trip!

Topped off the propane, pulled her up to the house and put in a few Amazon “goodies” like a Water Bandit, fresh tank filler tube and fridge bars. Washed and waxed her, too. Nice to get rid of the black streaks — at least til we get back from our trip!

Got the 2nd new floor almost finished, it was being difficult, of course. Started about 7:30 last night finished up about 4:30 this morning. Days are now to hot to work. Early morning I'm hoping to hook up and move him so the side I'm working on is out of the sun. Still caulking, picked up the paint for the exterior.

Roux 'b Doux, you must do a complete overhaul on your unit. We get here temps of max. 30 C/ 87 F, it is the max I can handle (when working)....lol. Nights are usual around 10 C/ 45 F, so sleeping is no problem.

Not today but this weekend:

Modded the bunk latch that broke last trip. After looking over all my options I decided to just cut a slot and use a big screw driver. My 23b is an 06 and has the latches with the square t handle that were only used for 2 years and are no longer made.

Replaced the diverter T on the outside shower. I didn't think we would ever use this option but I like filling up dish water and washing dishes outside still. No worries about making a mess that way. Plus one of the dogs rolled in chicken poop last weekend and it was perfect for cleaning that up. the T was cracked and I could have glued it back but the part was only 6 bucks on Amazon. Easy fix. The camper store wanted to sell me a whole new assembly. The hose was also cracked so I put a new one of those on then found that the shower head is also cracked. When I by a new one for the inside shower I'll just move the inside to the outside.

Traced the Cable wire and removed from the wingard power block and ran a cable in the entertainment center to the dish receiver. No more running the cable through the bunk end. Never thought I would be "one of those people" that has satelite in the camper but with a 15 month old and it's hot out, it's nice to sit and watch a movie or something while she's cooling down. The wife doesn't feel so "stuck" anymore. It was also nice in the storms the last couple of weekends to have weather when we had zero cell reception.

This wasn't to the camper but I re-did the strings on my zero gravity chair. Pulled it out of the dumpster several years ago at a camp ground and just stretched the cords. They finally let go last weekend. Amazon had new strings for 10 bucks. The chair is perfect otherwise.

This was to my tow vehicle but to a friends that was camping next to us. Replaced passenger side door handle on a Yukon XL Denali. Same basic door as my GMC and I had had my doors apart numerous times. Quick change.

Productive weekend at the campground.

Put another 445 miles on her and we’re now safely back home. She’s in desperate need of a bath, but that will have to wait for another day.

Added a back up camera, it’s all part of my Garmin GPS, now I have one on the back of the truck, and the back of the trailer, easy to install and pair up, simple to toggle between the two cameras, automatically opens up when I put it in reverse

I'm just sitting here having my first cup of the morning as usual. The second cup and a bite of breakfast will come along soon.

Dimmed the bright LED over the dinette by trimming amber cellophane to fit inside the plastic cover. Not perfect but it helps.

Replaced the cracked fresh water low point drain, pulled off the winter tarp, gave 'er a good scrub down and replaced the recalled fire extinguisher. Next step is to open up fully and start prepping for the first trip in 2 weeks.
