Visited her in storage today. Checked out what supplies we are low on so we could make a list to get at the store before we leave for the Grand Canyon on Wednesday.

Pulled her back to the house from a Father’s Day weekend camping trip. 30-35 mph cross wind and headwind coupled with 98 degrees. Gas mileage not so good. DW will restock and get it ready for next weekend while I am out of the country on a business trip.

Used the TT for a spare room this last weekend. I need to pull the sheets and give it a lite cleaning to get it ready for us to use it again soon. I do not want the black set part full too long so there is a excuse to take the TT out boondocking for a weekend!

We had a good time at South Llano River State Park over the weekend. Me and DW were pretty sick, but we tried to put on our stiff upper lips so our son could have some fun.

Unloaded, cleaned up, got her just about ready to go back to the storage lot.

Added a light strip to light up the flag, and added a switch to separate the shelf light from the rest of the upper accent lights. This area is above the pantry.

Flag was hand made by a USMC veteran, and we think it fits the space perfectly.

Picked it up from storage. Washed it, aired up tires, checked all TPMS sensors, lubed all slides, vacuumed out the basement, filled the fresh water tank...and most important I put beer in the outside fridge! Tomorrow we'll load up the interior with clothes and food! Going to try and head out on Wednesday AIS by 4:30 a.m.

I second w/Tom. That's going to be a fun trip. I really wanna go back and experience it in the camper for a week. A nice RV park there in the village on the south rim. We dove the Megacab 'from' the camper in way south AZ last January. Stayed in a motel for 3 nights. Lots to do there.

Made it half way!

Towed it to Albuquerque today (654 miles) averaging 9.8 MPG. All went well. Staying at American RV Resort...really nice place. I'd stay here if I was staying any length of time in the area.

Time for an adult beverage and a nap!

You made some good progress heading west. How long did it take to drive? Looks like a nice place.

Glad you had good weather most of the way.
Enjoy the rest of you trip.

I closed the windows from a good "airing out" today.
Washed the towels and linens.
Wanted to pull to the farm. Weekend forecast calls for mid 100s.
I'll wait till next week.

Wow Dan! 654 miles in 10:45 hrs? You beat my record of 630 miles in exactly 12 hrs. Of course I tow at 65 mph max. That’s incredible. Do you have an aux fuel tank in the bed? I know I sure want one for my megacab. Looks perty there. Be safe...Have a great trip!

You definitely need to get the aux fuel tank! I set cruise at 70 pretty much the whole way...traffic was surprisingly light. Only had some rain thru Amarillo.

Darin

Do yourself a favor and get the auxiliary tank. You won’t regret it and you’ll be kicking yourself for not getting it sooner.

Dan and Tom, It’s on my bucket list. That is great mpg for 70 towing 16k!

This was probably the best that I have ever planned a trip in advance. I made 1 fuel stop just past Amarillo and 2 potty stops at rest areas. Made sandwiches for everyone this morning, so we ate in the car. I unhooked here at Albuquerque to go fuel up, otherwise I probably wouldn’t have bothered. I’ll probably leave here tomorrow around 8...should be about 6-7 hours left to go.
