Returned all the clean linen and other essentials from the last trip. Walked around and noticed someone had placed a rock (small) on the rear bumper of the TT. Thinking someone placed it there to see if anyone checks the trailer. Or it could’ve been kids.

I found a softball-sized rock on the bow of our sailboat recently, which is moored at a nearby lake marina. No damage and I was wondering how it got there. I didn’t think about someone checking to see if we were checking on it. Thanks!

The roller motor fits inside the roller (1 1/2” PVC pipe) and has it’s own lithium battery and a remote control - no wires. Used white marine vinyl from JoAnnes for shade material.

Vinyl gutters upside down as valances to make them look nice and to weather shield the tube motors. I can control the shades from inside with the remote.

When I break camp, I unhook the rolled up shades with a pole and throw them on my car trailer for the trip south.
Leeinmt this is very inventive, resourceful and practical. Outstanding job.

Just love it.

Fixed the wiring to the monitoring system. The ground to both gray and black tanks were broken when I purchased last September. Finally fixed those today. And the low and mid sensor on the black tank were broken as well so I spliced those wires. Didn’t care about the Black much as it would take an act of got to fill that up in our shirt stays but the gray tank will be nice.

Motorized outside shades

It was complicated and I made a lot of mistakes before I got it to work - turned into a fun challenge because I build underwater robots and stuff. The hooks were heat-formed and bent from plastic gutter brackets to gravity hang from the top of the slide.

If I had to do it again, I would probably get pre-made pull down shades from Lowes and mount them on the outside with the upside down gutters as valences. These shades are just like the factory ones on the inside and like my grandmother used to have in the 1950’s. Have to go outside to pull them down, but no big deal.

Well two weekends ago the wife went up and added roof self leveling sealant on a couple of popped bubbles in original sealant around ladder attachments and skylight. And then just before camping all during the week of the 4th i had to make a quick key rack out some scrap stainless and a couple of hot dog/marshmellow roasting sticks.

I knew I had forgot to do something before I put the 5er in storage after our last trip! It finally came to me last night...went out this morning and opened the fresh water tank drain to empty.
