Swept it out and scrubbed it down inside, then gave it a wash and waxed the front. Ready to start loading for the upcoming trip to southern Utah.

Looks very nice Mark! It’s nice to watch it done for a change...and I don’t see that Corona with a lemon slice resting on your knee in the middle of the picture! Lol.

A few days late, but picked my new trailer up from the dealer on Saturday. Now trying to figure out where everything goes.

Replaced 3 - 3/4 inch screws that failed to hold the bed lifter and had pulled out with 3 bolts with large washers clear through the side of the underbed storage area. The screws had pulled out and been re-tightened. The extra weight of a Zinus memory foam mattress was too much for 3 little screws in a 1 x 2. Tomorrow I will do the other side even though they are still ok

I had my 15K rear a/c replaced 2 weeks ago due to a rapidly dying fan motor. I could have replaced the motor/capacitor, but would then still have a unit that was 8 years old. And those 8 years included 7 summers on the Florida Gulf coast and this year in west central Alabama. I decided on a new unit instead.

Now today I have a guy coming to clean out the condensation pan on my front 13.5K unit. It started dripping inside yesterday and it was not the gasket. One good thing is the rear unit is brand new and cools fantastic and with a small fan blowing up the steps I was surprisingly comfortable with the outside temp of 92.

DW just finished shopping for all the decorating of our new Whitehawk 26RK. She did a nice job with colors and everything. So now we leave for Door County Wisconsin on the maiden voyage. We also purchased a mattress topper for the awful mattress that came with the unit. Hopping for sweat dreams.

What I’m getting ready to do is relevel it at the campsite! Got in late last night and eyeballed it and it looked ok. Nay not so...more coffee first...

Turned on the fridge in preparation for loading up over the next couple of days and turned on the A/C as we've been hitting the low 90's this week and it helps the fridge a lot to keep the trailer cool inside. Also weighed the propane tank to see how full it is - looks like we are all good for heading out the end of the week for Angel Canyon in southern Utah.

Jay Feather owners with the Norco/Bal Ultra-Frame (not Next Gen) check your Front cross member where the A-Frame goes through. Because of the poor (weak) engineering design of the front cross member of the Norco/Bal Ultra-Frame it will buckle the outside members and lift the whole A-Frame. Have done 9 Jay Feathers so far all over 25 ft. most prone are the 30 ft. models. It is a simple fix at forehand, a lot more work when the side cross members are buckled. The cost of the material (angle iron) is about $40.00 and a DIYer can do the modification themselves. This happen to other makes RV's as well. Again it is with regards to the Norco/Bal Ultra-Frame

Picked up from repair and backed it into the yard and plugged it in. We are packing for a trip on Friday. AC running all day, I can only one run at a time and it struggled to keep it at 80 deg. I don't thing anything is wrong, it's just hot a blazes here.

I did check the supply air temp against the return air temps and see a delta of 11 degrees.

My rear 15K a/c pooped out a couple of weeks ago. Actually it was just the fan, but I replaced it with a new one since it was 8 summers old and used full time. Turns out that was lucky timing.

This past Sunday my front 13.5K a/c started leaking inside. It was the drain, not a loose gasket. For Sunday afternoon when the temp was in the low 90's and all night (I have vertigo and can't get on a roof and I had to wait until Monday to get a local guy to come clean it out) I only had the 15K rear unit that did a great job of cooling the entire rig. I did put a fan on top of the steps to blow cool air up front. While it wasn't a cool inside as normal the temp only increased 3-4 degrees in the hottest part of the afternoon. At night it was perfectly normal.

Thank goodness for the brand new rear 15K.

Spent the afternoon yesterday cleaning lint out of my dryer vent hose. I thought I might have been a sucker for "As Seen On TV", but a few years back I bought a Lint Lizard and believe it or not this sucker works great for cleaning lint out of that hose.

Problem solved for another few months.

Brought it home from storage for some maintenance and repair ahead of a long trip coming up.

Last night the project was to remove one of the U-bolts from my Hellwig suspension component and bring it over to my buddy's shop so he can make me a couple new ones. I should be able to wrap that up this weekend.

The To-do list is pretty darn long right now, I hope I can get it all done!

Ok, level completed yesterday morning. I retracted the Schwinteck slide to get at the tires.

Re-leveling completed, I tried to re-extend the slide and guess what? It only moved slightly on one side. I tried every thing I knew of: re-syncing the motors, pulling fuses, crawling underneath and on top, had a neighbor hold down the switch while I tried to push it out, reviewed multiple old posts, watched countless YouTube videos, ad infinitum.

Methinks it’s one of the motors that’s gone bad.

Closest Jayco dealer (2.5 hours away) but has to see it and then has to order the parts (hey, I’m on vacation and can’t stay for several weeks); closest mobile tech that has the parts is also 2.5 hours away.

I started a ticket at Jayco this morning, and am waiting for the Jayco tech to call me back, which I don’t expect to happen anytime soon.

So, Monday, I’m heading for the mobile tech with hope that Jayco will pick up at least some of the bill.

Oh, joy...

How would you know which frame you have?
Ours is 2019 Jay Feather 27RL.
Did have to reattach the front rock shield as it only had one screw on each end and one in the middle that pulled through leaving the rock shield hanging down.
