Started loading it up for our trip to West Texas on Thursday. Headed to big bend and the Davis mountains.

Your rig looks very shiny and pretty now. Everyone’s going to be eager to try out that new spa. Have a safe trip tomorrow!

Thanks Darin! I’m eager to test out the shower too! (Not as eager as the DW [emoji23])

I have already been shopping for the tankless water heater. For some reason I think showers in the trailer will no longer take 5 minutes or less. [emoji23][emoji1787][emoji23]

Man Dan, that’s a long time away. When was your last time out? 6 months between outings is too long!

Don't feel too sorry for me!! I'm going on the new Celebrity Edge cruise ship at the end of January for free...The DW is "training" me on escorting 120 retirees on a cruise since she's taking over the business. Then in March we are both going on a free Viking River Cruise in France due to her sales with this cruise line! It's the only river cruise I asked her to take me on...I get to see the Beaches of Normandy during the 75th anniversary of D-Day...I'm a huge WWII junky!!

So...I'm sure you don't feel too bad for me now!!! Do you??

If it makes you feel any better, I'm working for free right now due to the government shut down! I was supposed to be off this week and next with use/lose annual leave, but because of the shutdown I'm considered "exempted" and therefore required to work...no leave is permitted...unless I want to go into furlow status. So hopefully I can get those 7 days of use/lose leave days reinstated for the next calendar year!

I had no idea you would be affected by the shutdown. That stinks. Hopefully you’ll get your days back!

Got tired of the blemishes caused by simulators after I removed them so I painted the wheels. Well 2 so far. Here is a sample of what all the wheels look like before.

Here is the after pictures. I was going for an OEM steel wheel finish so the paint I bought is Rustoleum Steel Wheel spray paint. They turned out more sparkly than I wanted. When I get them back on if I don't like it I may just go black.

This required a couple of steps in sandpaper grit to get them this smooth.

I have a brand new tire and rim like that just purchased in Sept. never installed for $100.00 if you need a spare. It was for a 2017 Mercedes Sprinter chassis.

Fixed the shower bracket whose screws had stripped out of the wall. Solid now for a long time. Also decided to pull the battery from the smoke alarm for the winter. When I pulled the cover, I discovered the plastic tab between the battery and contacts had never been pulled. I’d figured the dealer did that when we bought it a year ago but never checked. Stupid me.

Yeah, several times I thought how great it was that the alarm wasn’t “too” sensitive.
