You sure got that rig looking mighty fine and shiny, Tom! Takes a lot of work. Your pin box looks like new, too! This coastal area is making mine look like 10 years old. Time for my nose cap to get a shine before we leave next Wed for Davis Mtns SP. it’ll probably rain like it did last time on the trip down here when I washed and shined her up for 3 days beforehand.

Thanks Darin. Wish we could go to the mountains. We love that park.

De-winterized and washed the trailer. Changed out the crappy original propane pigtails with something that will hopefully last more than 3 years. Getting ready to go camping next week.

Started to spring clean the camp trailer. I would like to get the trailer for a good weekend next month or early may.

Started moving stuff back in after a long winter! Checked everything out, and will de-winterize next weekend. First trip in two weeks.

Opened it up and started putting stuff back in after a long, cold winter. Yea spring! Getting it ready for our first trip of the year as soon as we can get a few days off from work.

Replaced the LP/CO detector as we'd hit the 5-year mark on the OEM one.

Removed the winter cover. Turned on the propane and made sure all propane appliances were working. Drained the pink antifreeze out of the lines. Turned off the hot water heater bypass. Tightened up the nylon plug in the hot water heater.

QUESTION
when on the roof removing the cover, my son noticed near the front, the big panel boards connect to each other under the rubber roof material , one is slightly higher than the one behind it causing a very slight bump across the roof.
Anyone else have this? What can be done about it?

Installed a real nice TV mount that locks in for when you're driving.

Was it chirping or beeping? What indicated to you that it needed replacement other than age? Mine is now 7 years old and still going strong.

It was a pre-emptive replacement as I've always heard they should be replaced after 5 years and it past that mark last fall. That probably varies some between manufacturers and types, and in fact the replacement I got says replace after 7 years in the back of the manual.

I recently was talking to our city fire marshal who said they all have a lifetime of about six years. Cheap ones and expensive ones, makes no difference.

I think that's a good idea. I think I'll order one just in case for a backup.

Swapped the pin box for a Reese 20K Goose Box.

Have not had a chance to tow with it. Waiting on safety chains.

Should shave ~160-175lbs off the pin over the B&W companion. Which was a great hitch. Just need my bed back!!!

Will post a review later once I have some time with it.

What Did You Do To Your Jayco TODAY?

Found a yucky yellow oil streak coming down from the kitchen Air Excel fan housing in our 2017 North Point 377 RLBH. Removed the housing and trim plate. Turns out it’s coming from the lid raise motor gear housing. It gets pretty warm up in that housing due to the solar heat and liquifies the excess grease coming down the pin gear. Dug into it and cleaned out all the excess oil and put it all back together.Click image for larger version

I got the trailer "spring cleaning" finished. I also fixed one of the screws that held the blind strings that the screw pulled out. I fixed one of the cabnet doors where the thin plywood center was comming out. I put in new screen that the dog had damaged last year. We could still have very cold nights so dewinterize is too early.

Now it is cocktail time. Does that belong in this thread ooops.

It is not beer.

Duke, I assume the screw just stripped out of the thin wallboard? I’m just waiting for one of mine to do the same. How did you fix it, may I ask?
