I like that. Having that weight in the back like that doesn't cause any tail wagging goin down the road? I'd like to do that to haul my Honda around to hunt camp instead of putting it in the camper

Nope, it’s a 5er, going to get some weights before I head out today.

Couple little things

Added drawer pull to screen door, neat and $20 less than a Camco. Painted exit handle, could never find the darn thing. Also tapered leading edge of screen door latch so it ramps better on catch rather than jamming. Made a set of DIY stabilizers, worth their weight in gold. Added vent to AC unit. Can swivel and direct air where you want. NOTE: always thought end doors of AC unit were garbage but when I had it apart, I found that they were installed backwards, thus preventing rush of air to keep them closed. Now with 2 ends closed, AC fan on low instead of high, get much better targeted airflow and dropped 5 decibels as measured before and after, win win.

Now if I could only find some material to match seat cushions to complete renovation of removing dinette.

I kind of like that door handle. I don't have much of a problem finding it but others have

Thanks, Surprisingly simple, just gently tap pin out from bottom to remove.

Replaced the door window with the AP Thin Shade. Added some 3M automotive tape top and bottom of the shade part as it didn't lock in quite as tight as it should (it kept popping out). Very happy with the results - getting rid of the 70's bathroom glass and matching the dark glass on the rest of the trailer (plus a way to block the light for sleepins )

Gave it a good wash, including the roof (first time for the roof). Jayco was right! It is a white roof!

Finally brought it home from the barn we store it in and gave it a good wash. The good part about barn storage is no rain/snow or sun beating on it. The not so good news is all the bird droppings...

Then got started on the solar. Mounted the panels and ran the wires along the awning bracket and into the front storage compartment.

It's been a busy few days:
- sanitized the fresh water system
- dropped the bottom to clean out all the debris Jayco left in there and also inspect everything
- repacked the wheel brearings
- installed a new shelf in one of the kitchen cabinets

The plan for this weekend:
- wash the roof
- replace the bathroom vent fan (old one died)
- wash the rig
- begin waxing
- load her up to hopefully head out in a couple of weeks

Set up my 17 jku wrangler toad. Shop wanted $4200 for complete package ready to tow. $1200 for all the parts on craigslist and ebay, watched numerous YouTube videos and about 8 total hours of install time and I'm ready to roll. Roadmaster base plate for jeep, patriot 2 brake system with break away cable and switch, all cables and light hookups and best of all a roadmaster all terrain used but new towbar. Ill use the $3000 I saved for beer.

To do today: Inspect brakes/tires/wheels/suspension. To do tomorrow: flush fresh tank, get linens back in it, getting ready for Palo Duro Canyon on the 24th & 25th.

Installed a dedicated 30 amp recept today, been wanting this for a long time. Total cost using 10/2 UF wire was about 140 bucks doing it myself. My boys did the mule work and ran the wire from panel box under house to the recept box. Got the AC running and holding 120 volts. So now I can escape when it's hot or have extra room for guests.

Nice work. You are going to love having that 30 amp at the house.

I added a second water pump switch to my bathroom so when we are traveling we can now just enter through the exterior bathroom door.

Wow, that's the Cadillac of upgrades lol. I assume that took three separate wires?

Nope it is wired internally for the 3 outlets. Just ran wire to the main on the box. This is the one I used...
