Installed a Micro-Air EasyStart on the AC and added a third 180w solar panel to the roof.

I like the Easy Start.........is that the same thing as Soft Start for the AC. We don't have a generator, but the idea of eliminating that thud when they kick in sounds interesting. But nearly $600 for two AC's is a hard pill to swallow.

Works very well, tried it out yesterday in 95F heat with my 2000w Yamaha generator and it started up and ran with no problems. If you do a little bit of research there are a lot of discount codes out there to reduce the price. I found the best one was “AIRSTREAM”. Reduced the price by $40.

KinCut two composit deck boards about 14 inches long from left overs from having my deck done. Drilled 2 holes in each and mounted a 4x4 square bolt so I can mount them on my back bumper. Then, I sit my 6 gallon Marine gas tank on it and run lines to my generators which sit lower than the gas tank. Can run the generators several days this way. Can run one or two generators from this one tank since I used a Y-line and Marine gas fittings.

I installed a SoftStartRV today. It might be the best 269.00 I have spent on my RV. Installation was easy and so far it is working great. The air conditioner starts up with hardly a sound with my Honda 2000. I ran the air, inverter, refrigerator and TV on the 2000. It hummed a bit but ran fine for about an hour test. Just on air and inverter it ran quieter.

I performed the infamous Heater Only Honeywell 1000 Thermostat Switch.

If nothing else, I love having a thermometer now....

If you are doing this "on the road", make sure you have a way to screw the tiny tiny flat screw wire connections in.

Congrats! Can I ask— what size is your AC? 15k? Or 13.5?

Brought it home after two weeks on the coast. It was 55* when we left this morning and 105* back home, while unpacking and cleaning the inside of the rig. Tomorrow morning, the outside gets scrubbed — before it hits 105 again.

Packed some clothes and towels in it. And put bubble levels on it. Cleaned it earlier in the week.

Washed it, Got the mold off the awning, cleaned the inside, packed it, lubed the hitch, and we're off tomorrow for 3 days to a local State park, practicing for a cross country trip as soon as we can get some axle/alignment issues dealt with.
