Now that the dog and cat have moved out and both the kids have moved on we finally refinished the hardwood floors. they have not been done since we moved in 26 years ago so they were overdue. They smell of the finish was very strong so we headed off to the 22fb and fired up the heat to spend the nite in it. it was in the low 20ish but nice and warm inside. and the floors look great just need to dust the inside of the house and replace furniture.

Lubed the slide.

Installed Camco vent cover on the one vent we have (over the bathroom).

Installed a step saver that folds away. I tested it before I installed it, but then when I put it on, I changed my mind and attached it to a different place and now it doesn't work right so I have to move it to the original location... DOH! DW hates me drilling holes in the step, even if they are only 3/16"...

I finally got LEDs that I ordered and began installing them. DW says they're too blue, so instead of installing them in the main living areas, I put them in the storage lights and any other place I could find that we don't normally use. Then I ordered some more LEDs in a more acceptable color (I hope)

Got a battery cutoff switch and the materials to install it, but haven't gotten to that yet.

Saturday, I pulled the pup to my parent's house to store it behind their shed for the winter. As I got up to speed on the hiway, the roof vent lid popped up. I pulled over and cranked it back down, but it didn't feel right. It popped back up when I started driving again. I checked it better after getting to my parent's house and found the crank was stripped. Looks like I'll be buying a new one.

After the sun comes up and another cup of coffee, I think I'll dump my black tank. I have a load of laundry washing right now and my grey tank is closed so I will have a little grey water to flush things out with.

Now what to do the rest of the day? I'm thinking an oil change in my scooter would be in order to get it ready for spring or a warm day.

Winterized the trailer today, just need to wash it and put the cover on it. Hopefully late Mar. Or early Apr. we can get out in it again. We had a good run of camping this year, going to be hard to beat it next year.

First trip and Steer system

Hi. We took delivery of our 2014 Greyhawk near the end of Oct. Within a couple of days we were on a 10 day maiden voyage. It's the 31 FS model and it performed perfectly. This is not our first MH. Our first MH was purchased in 1979. We traded down this time to get smaller. We had a Holiday Secpter 43' w/ 4 slides. Frankly, we got tired of high diesel fuel and the large expense of owning one. The Secpter was our third pusher, which included our favorite, a Monaco Signature, which we bought new in 2000.
Our new Greyhawk is great and very comfy. What I did today with the unit was bring it home from the dealer. I had a Steer Safe System installed. It was an obvious must have purchase because wind and passing big trucks made tense times. Not always, but to many times. The drive home from the dealer is 50 or so miles and today was a good test. The side wind with gusts would have been no fun without the Steer Safe. A few gusts were felt, but the majority of the drive was very smooth and gentle. The small investment I paid for the system along with the installation charge is a must for the Ford E450.

Purchased a multi-function weather / temperature monitor for the outdoors, indoors and fridge. Have the perfect spot for it....had a hard time time finding a permanently lit blue display that matched my other onboard electronics

Went out to make sure the wind didn't blow off the new wheel covers. All there :-)

I ran my generator this morning under a load for 1 hour and then changed the oil/filter and checked the air filter. All looks great and it ran perfectly. Now if it was just an hour or so later I would have lunch. Maybe just another cup first.

167.9 hours total time.

I just finished my second cup in mine and emptied the black tank. I'm good for another 2 weeks or so.

Just got back from our last trip of the year. Cleaned everything up, drained the water heater, blew out the water lines, drained FW tanks. Now it can safely sit for a couple months till we start camping again.
