The big white truck just put 75.1 gallons of propane in my external tank (150 gal capacity). They only fill them to 80% so I have 120 gal useable. The furnace will be happy for a while now. Come on Mother Nature bring on the cold.

Since I arrived at the Quartzsite LTVA a little over a week ago I've replaced my 8 year old Trojan T-105 batteries with a new pair of the same. They work a heck of a lot better than the old ones.
I just finished another project that has to do with my fresh water pump. It's had a backflow problem that's been driving me bonkers. Ever 15 minutes or so the pump would kick on for a second or two.
I'm usually hooked up to city water during the summer season, so my pump doesn't get used. When I switch to pumping water from the tanks the pump usually has this problem for a few days, then it starts working correctly. I'm thinking that that internal check valve parts are at fault.
Today I installed an external check valve in the half-inch hose coming into the pump's intake side. It's been an hour and pump hasn't cycled yet, so I think the problem is fixed. Now I can leave the pump switch on all night!
FYI, the external check valve I installed is a Shurflo 340-001.
Since I haven't been here for couple of years, I might as well mention that last year I purchased 3 Renogy 80 watt solar panels and a Renogy MPPT charge controller. It's been really nice to only have to use my generator on cloudy days.
Have a good one,
Bill

My 8 year old Trojans were replaced two years ago with the same model T-105's. If it ain't broke.....and the new ones are just working fine 2 years later.

Replaced our 40" Furrion TV -something had hit the screen so the picture was almost non existent. Didn't cause me much grief because the sound on our Furrion really sucked. Replaced it with a 43" Samsung and has much better sound and picture.

The Alpines are 2.5" deep. For one of the speaker holes, there is a kitchen vent pipe just 2" from the exterior surface making the spacer a must have.

Before and after this weekend's campout at Promised Land SP in PA, I installed Sunfast's PUG Paws and Kitchen kit.

Not having to carry around all the keys is great, and don't have to worry about the generic keyed locks that RV came with.

I did the same on my entrance door. Easy installation and it works great. Quick tip...when not using your RV for an extended time, turn off the key FOB switch on the inside of the door lock in order so save the batteries.
Today I took out my water pump because the check valve failed last weekend while hooked up to camp water. Got up in the morning to an over-flowing water tank. Went to CW and they wanted $130 for a new pump, got one today for less than half of that from Amazon. Will install it tomorrow, along with the silencing kit from Shurflo

I fixed the furnace!! After using many curse words!! I went over all the electrical to/from the furnace with my volt meter and couldn't for the life of me figure out why there was no 12 volt power to the furnace?? The fuse in the fuse panel was good, but I replaced it with a new one any how. Still had no power to it??? So I called Vogt RV in Ft. Worth and made appt to get it in the shop (earliest was Feb 9th). Of course after I made the appt, it really started bothering me even more, so I started tracing the wiring back from the furnace itself....and....low and behold there's an in-line fuse that was blown. Who the heck puts 2 fuses on the same line?? Replaced fuse and furnace fired right up!
Now we'll be good to go on trip in March to NE Oklahoma

Replaced the inline fuse for the electric Jack with a 30 amp automatic reset circuit breaker. Also installed a vintage (1942-1945) cal.50 m2 ammo box on the rear bumper.
Now I have a place to put the sewer hose adapters.

I really like the idea of that ammo box. Please post a pic of it if you can at some point. I would like to see it.
