Hey guys, thanks. We are headed there today. I have a retired Piedmont airline pilots reunion for 2 nights and will stay until Friday before coming home. We are staying at the KOA, the smaller one in South Myrtle beach. Wife said the other was too big and crowded looking.

Thanks, yes there are lots of places to eat down there. Unfortunately, at least for the first 2 days, we will be eating Buffet style cooking at this reunion

Well I finally got around to repairing the sagging trim problem. Used #10 x 3" self tapping ceramic coated sheet metal screws with metal/rubber washer and 1/4" hex head. I pre-drilled through the frame with a 5/32 high speed metal drill bit. Screwed them in until they started penetrated the metal frame and used 1/4" socket and ratchet wrench to slowly draw them in. Like another poster said, I kept going down the line and gradually snugged them up. I used 10 screws per side. Looks good!

Nice. Doesn’t sound like you used any caulking, just the rubber washer? Do you plan to top them with Dicor or anything?

The trim on the edge of the overhang. Here's a pic before I snugged it up.

D rated tire? I found a nail in the shoulder of my D Rated endurance. Took it to a Goodyear dealer and he said they haven't seen them in about 6 weeks. So I went to Tire Discounters and they found one at the warehouse here in town. I hope that's not a false reading on the computer. Haven't seen the tire yet but it should be in tomorrow. I wonder why there is a shortage. These tires are made in the states.

Trouble and no support

I got for Endurance 14 inchers for my tt that were only two weeks old! On a brighter note, replaced the thermostat that was malfunctioning on the environmental side. Bought it from RV Parts Country. Arrived, installed, not working properly (display). Contacted RV Parts County, "please take your unit to an authorized repair center". Contacted Dometic, no response. Explained to RV Parts Country if I wanted to spend $125/hr and drive 250 miles (@ 10 mpg) for a $35 part I wouldn't have bothered to buy it from them. They insist I contact Dometic, Dometic refuses to respond. Paypal claim here we come.

Took out the oven in my 2014 X17Z. The oven would fall apart driving down gravel roads. Just finished putting in a cooktop instead.

Sorry to hear about the problems. But thanks for letting us know who NOT to buy RV parts from.

Must be catching. I took down the rear window pleated shade, and restrung it. Might've been an easier task than blinds!

Pulled the low point drains, bypassed the WH, and put the insurance back to storage coverage. Getting ready to winterizing her.

Unhappy Water Heater - again

Well, was doing the regular maintenance on the water heater (2019 Atwood 10 gallon version), specifically and only the burner tube cleaning. All I did was remove the burner tube, clean what I could of the burn chamber tube, cleaned the gas oriface part, the burner tube and the ignitor - carefully. Got back into the RV and the Control Panel electric switch light was no longer illuminated and the LP burner Light atop the Gas Heater switch was lit... now electric side of water heater doesn't work....AND I just replaced the 110v coil in the back last week...was working fine... Gas side works great still, just no electric... the DC fuse in the breaker panel is good, checked with volt meter and see other items on that circuit leg still working...but pulled it and replaced it anyway as maybe thought that might "reset" something...no joy. Turned the AC breaker off for the heater and back on...still no electric ops/no light on the electric switch for the water heater... guess I'll have to replace the PC board as I can't see what else there could be....unless the lighted switch in the control panel actually has a fuse in it ?? Off to the RV parts store ....

I called them blinds, but yea it’s the pleated shade.

Dometic sent me an e-mail this morning...Steve said yup, the thermostat is defective. He asked where to send the new one...I gave them my address and asked if I should send the defective one back...no. All is well in the Texas Panhandle.
