Picked up a new LED Television at Best Buy, on sale and had points to use before they expired. Upgrading from the factory 20" to a 24". Much thinner and lighter. Will probably install over the weekend.

I finally found and purchased a horse stall mat- I used my Skilsaw to cut the mat into various sizes to use as blocks to level the trailer on the uneven campsites that are so prevalent out there- The wood blocks I have been using are overdue to be replaced and I am looking forward to NEVER replacing the blocks again- The stall mat is made from recycled tires and are very solid but are heavy- JMHO- DD

Waiting for temps to get above freezing [50 predicted tomorrow] and then will be pressure washing the White Hawk. Right now the front is plastered with an inch or more ice and frozen road grime. Had to beat the ice from the stablizers to get the TT set back on our back yard pad on Monday. Arrived home from a trip south. Last 350 miles was an adventure of rain / slush / Ice / and even some snow. Several interstate hours at 35 mph following an 18 wheeler. Temp when we went to bed in N Ala was in the 70's. Yesterday morning the temp inside the tt was 19 [winterized in a WW parking lot that last night].

Off now to take the Duramax in to the carwash to wash and melt the road grime.

Brought the camper home from storage, de-winterized, aired up the tires, tested the heater and fridge, getting ready for a trip to the Ozarks. I make sure to leave it in the driveway at least a week to annoy the HOA and busybody neighbors while I'm at it.

We covered "her" up today since we are getting "tons" of rain and we may have a slight leak in the AC gasket or maybe she just needs to have the ac bolts tightened....we didn't want to take any chances until we can check it out on Saturday when warm weather and sunny skies are predicted.....yippee!!!!

Gave my Jayco a bath yesterday! Luckily it was 70 degrees. I found out just how big this RV is.

Pulled her to a local tire vendor and got 4 new Maxxis tires. The old ones were original to the trailer. 9 years old!

Just went last night and checked on her. Gave her a hug and told her again I'd see her soon!! Incidentally I just discovered there's a Maxxis tire dealer literally 200 yds from where I store my rig!

Set up the ladder and checked out the roof sealant. All is looking good! Which is especially nice since I'm back up here near Seattle, and it's been raining a whole lot more than it was in the Quartzsite desert.

Thumbs up Off to the Ford Dealer

I bought a 1997 Conversion Van on a E250 Econoline Extended Club Wagon chassis. Drove it from Tallahassee, Florida to Cincinnati, Ohio. There are some issues that need addressed. I instructed the Service Advisor at my Local Ford Dealer to go through the camper from front to back and top to bottom. Known issues are; suspension( crab walking), squeaking idler pulley upon starting, brakes pull to the left when hard braking, cruise control inoperative, and HVAC blower motor only works on high. I expect more problems to be discovered as the inspection is completed.

On my trip through Tennessee, the winds were gusting up to 70 mph, I really had to concentrate on keeping it in my lane. With the high roof, I was driving a big sail. Yahoo!

I will post an update on what I am fixing. Hopefully, I won't have to spend too much money getting it ready for a trip. Leaving in August of this year to visit Teddy Roosevelt National Park, Glacier NP, Denali NP, Yellowstone NP, Grand Teton NP, Grand Canyon NP, and other NP's, along with State Forests. In addition, my friend and I plan on traveling 15K miles over a 16 week period. Both of us have our Bucket List ready, and we are looking forward to the adventure of our lives.

Both of us are Amateur Astronomers, and plan on doing some Astrophotography. We plan on being in Coldfoot, Alaska the second week of October to observe the Northern Lights.

I will have a Web page set up for viewing our trials and tribulations of our journey. Wish us luck!

Today I ordered a hard start kit for our Coleman A/C unit. Almost boghut a Supeco hard start kit, but the technician at Coleman (RVP) warned me against that as it will cause long term damage. He provided me with a part number for our model and I shopped around til I found the best deal. Also went ahead and bought the Winegard HD Wing for the television antennae. We usually use the DirecTv dish but it is nice to get local news when traveling out of state.
