Routine battery maintenance and check on the Dehumidifier that runs 24/7 in storage. Just an overall walk around.

Fortunate timing!

I'm looking at the same thing for my tires... Mine are 5 years old in October (4017 and 4117 date codes...)

Mine are all 2617 codes and while the sidewalls look great, the tread is a little down and I see some hairline cracks between the treads. They have about 12k miles on them. Although they are always covered when not traveling, they do endure many months of very hot weather — well over 100* — and I can’t help but think it takes its toll. Not worth gambling on winding mountain highways.

I’m taking it in for a bearing pack in a month and the shop can put new Endurance on for the same as what I’d pay at America’s Tire. I told them to include metal valve stems as I’m thinking about getting a set of TSTs before the next long trip. Can’t put a price on piece of mind.

We don't have that many miles on ours, and I will take a good look at them when it gets out of indoor storage in April. I'm hoping that we can fit in this year so I can replace them next year. We have a decent trip planned for the fall, but it's still pretty close to home.

Miles don't kill tires, time does. If you store indoors you might get another years service, but keep your eyes (both of them) on the tires as summer progresses. My 23RL tires were exactly four years old and 3-4/32nds at calculated 20k miles, left rear slick at the sidewall. Time to go...and corrections made to axles.

I hemmed and hawed but figured I’d err on the side of caution as we are planning a long trip to the Grand Canyon and some fairly remote spots. The GY’s are in stock and probably won’t be any cheaper later.

Agreed, which is why I am watching. I only have about 1500 miles on these tires (hip surgery 2 years ago and a torn Achilles last summer really killed any travel since we got the trailer). My DW is retiring this summer, and I can work from anywhere. We have a delayed trip planned for July, so in the fall, we are planning to toddle around Ontario for a couple of weeks.

I've had a blowout on our old pop-up, so I will not be taking chances here...

Turned on the propane tanks, purged lines, turned on fridge.

We may have to make a 200 mile trip this weekend and I want to be ready.

Replaced gooseneck kitchen faucet with low profile faucet that DW wanted (see separate thread on that), put an extension rod on my propane tank mount to lift the regulator up a little hight to alleviate the crimping of the hoses with the new regulator, and somewhat cleaned out my basement space....

Hitched it up and pulled it out in front of the house so I could work on the awning adjustment a bit. It was slightly out of alignment so one end the arm wouldn't seat properly without assistance when retracted. After getting that fixed I set up the new Kelty Blockhouse Privacy tent to checkout out the alignment with the outside shower. Still need to figure out a decent hook for hanging the shower head but otherwise should help extend the gray tank when weather and other conditions permit.

Does that mean the grey water just drains on the ground?

We use ours every year when we go to the FL beach. Everyone showers on the side and gets the sand off and out of their crevices! We do use the soap that’s good for the environment (there’s a word for it, but it escapes me!). And I’ve only had 1 beer!

Edit: I also bought some rubber squares that connect together and allow the water to flow thru, so your not standing in a puddle.

What Bookemdanno said..... and yes - always use biodegradable soaps/shampoos.

Edit: From my tent camping days we use this kind of stuff with the outdoor shower.... HiBar Shampoo Bar

Satellite Hookup

After spending the last 3 years fighting with constant loss of signal and having to re-boot the Wally every morning because loss of one or more satellites, I decided to take Big1's mod and bypass the terrible coax wiring and numerous splitter throughout our 5er. Drilled a 1/2 inch hole 7" below the radio antenna which goes through the back of the pantry next to the main TV. Thanks Big1, why I didn't do this sooner I'll never know. Everything has been working flawlessly since. The signal strength went from about 35 to 68 on all satellites. You need between 12 & 19 volts between your receiver and satellite dish for optimum performance.

I built braces for the bed because the plywood wood sagging. After installing the braces the corners on the end were bowed up like wings so I had to screw them down to frame. No more under bed storage for now.
Then I installed Moryd storage box were original steps were. Nice box an easy install but was let down by size. I can't use it for what it was intended for.
I capped the day off yesterday by installing an Ultra E Pro door handle. Didn't install the battery an program yet. Didn't want to install the battery yet since we are still expecting temps in the 20's and cold weather will kill a battery in a heart beat.
Busy Saturday but it was worth it.

After two months I decided to check on the inside and after removing a couple of feet of snow I ventured inside. No rodent infestation and traps still set. Battery shows fully charged, I have shore power hooked up. Turned on the propane and fired up the furnace for about 30 minutes and ran the AC fan for about 15 minutes. Ordered 4 new tires plus a set of grease seals for the pre-trip repack!

The original battery is in need of an old age home, so it'll get retired this spring. Didn't quite make it to 10 years. It doesn't owe us a penny.

We replaced the mattress is our rig yesterday. We got an 8-inch memory foam from American Mattress on Amazon. I opened it in the trailer yesterday, cracked the vent open a bit to help air out the new mattress smell. I closed it before going to bed last night. This morning, the odor was faint but still noticeable, so I opened the vent fully and opened the bedroom window. After about 4 hours, no more noticeable smell. The DW got home from work about 2 hours ago and asked if I wanted to go out and help her make the bed. OK. I also bought a bed scrunchie to try. We got the mattress pad on, attached the scrunchie to the fitted sheet and wrestled that into place, tightened up the scrunchie. Works like a charm! Finished making the bed except for the pillows, I want to toss them into the dryer for a bit before putting them back in the trailer. I got my solar LED porch light out of the drawer and left it on the dining table to charge. I can't find the manual for it but was able to figure out operation from reading questions and answers on Amazon. In these pictures, it's on full bright. I can set it to come on dim at sundown and stay on all night, set it to dim and then brighten when it detects motion near the trailer or off until it detects motion then it comes on full bright for 30 seconds. I need to clean off the adhesive that stayed on the side of the trailer last time I removed the light. I used self-adhesive Velcro to mount the light and when I pulled the light off in preparation for rolling down the highway the Velcro on the side of the trailer came off. I need to clean that area up and re-install the Velcro leaving it set for a longer period of time before I try to mount and dismount the light. I think I might place it a bit higher on the side of the door.
