Cleaned the inside from top to bottom yesterday after two weeks at the coast. Today I cleaned the roof with a soft pole brush and a bucket of Dawn/water. Washed the outside with Meguiar’s Deep Crystal car wash, then scrubbed the awning with Dawn and water. Dumped the tanks and backwashed the black, and put a little valve lubricant into each. Drained and flushed the WH tank and parked her in the RV yard. Next are a few minor fixes like a broken wand on the mini blinds, loose valance, squeaky bathroom faucets etc. All why we love RVing, right?

We logged nine weeks on the road this summer — I think we’re done til spring. Maybe…

Well, I’ve finally wiped my hands clean of Goodyear Endurance tires. In September of last year I replaced my original Endurance tires with a new set because they were wearing down after only 15,000 miles. In July of this year Discount Tire replaced one of them because a bubble in the sidewall appeared. This past Monday we were getting ready to leave the CG we were staying at in Mesquite, NV and I noticed another bubble in the sidewall of one of the tires. We went to the nearest tire shop and asked them to replace the tire with our spare. They got underneath and on the inside of two other tires there were also bubbles in the sidewall. They suggested I replace them with the Goodyear G614 which they claimed was 3 times the tire Endurance was. They claimed the sidewall on the Endurance flexes so much that they will eventually form a bubble because the sidewalls are not steel enforced. So far I’m extremely pleased with the G614. However because of the smaller diameter, almost 2”, I will need to raise by rear jacks to protect them. They also took very little lead for balancing as compared to the Endurance.

Just added 2 vintage ( flaming bomb)50 cal. Ammo boxes to to the rear bumper. Now I have a place to put the black water attachments and hose outside instead of inside storage.

Replaced the Chassis Batteries - leveling system works again finally...now have to work up a battery disconnect solution for them, or charging solution while on shore power.

Bringing it home tomorrow from storage to complete a bunch of maintenance over the long weekend, to include wash/wax job.
Please forgive me, but we are contemplating a NEW purchase of a Dynamax Isata 5. Just feeling it out at this point. The DW’s business has blown up post COVID and we’ve been traveling extensively in other means. So we haven’t used the 377 since last fall (almost a year now). I haven’t been absent & have been reading a bunch of the latest posts…I just haven’t been commenting.

We do have a trip scheduled for spring break next year at Big Bend NP. We’ll see how everything turns out.

Headliner out, puck lights, USB port and wedges in

I have a squeak coming from between the cab and the bunk, I think. I removed the headliner and inserted composite wedges where possible and added more screws. I hope it fixes the noise.
While I had it apart I added puck lights and a USB port in the headliner.

First time using my new 2-piece Solera Super Shade Screen.

I like the fact that the upper section is attached to the awning tube and rolls up with the awning, and attaching the lower section via a zipper works great. No more installing/removing the whole sun screen from the awning tube like I did on my prior TT.

When attaching the lower section I use a 'clip' to hold the top/lower zipper sections at one end, then go to the other end and zip-it toward the 'clip' (remove clip). The 'zipper' is roughly 12" below the awning flap

Solera Super Shade Screen (didn't pay list):

https://store.lci1.com/solera-super-...3ft-3797820813

Also, I had to 're-string' one of my window night shades today. All went well, and this means "all" of my window night shades have been re-strung in the past year.... should be good for another 5 years!

Roof cleaning, Bugs off, and Wash/Wax Body

Its been a year, 14k miles and lots of sun, rain, snow, hail, dirt, birds and bugs. On Labor day I finally did a second deep exterior cleaning using some new products (for me) and WOW...

Used Purple Power on the roof, sprayed the seals and roof with a little and scrubbed with brush and then power washed off.

Used 3D bug remover (https://www.amazon.com/3D-Bug-Remove..._bap_d_rp_12_t)
Sprayed it on and waited two min, then used a brush and all bugs just came off.

Then used dawn to wash full trailer to clean and then used Rejex sealant to protect and wow totally amazed. Took most of the day (half of day was waiting till it was cooler as it was only 109 by noon). But the products were really easy to use and results were cleaner and shinier than when we picked it up from the dealer!

Rejex and the 3D cleaner are the best/easiest I have used on anything, will be doing my truck and car with them this coming weekend!

Here are some pics showing the roof in progress and then the overall final product. (didnt take before pics of front cap but was covered in bugs)

Installed the replacement arm on our Gerard ULTRA awning - previous arm broke during storm back in July...tried replacement of the Arm first since that was only $500 (including shipping)... arm works good, spliced the light cable in and the works...however, looks like the awning fabric now has a 6 inch rip at the left most seam/edge right as the fabric goes on the roller...also the awning edge does not close all the way into the box ...guess more was damaged than just the left arm... but I can't see where. Oh well guess I'll start saving for a replacement...

I didn't have that many miles on ours when we traded our fiver in but I would have to replaced all of my tires.

Really they not all that good like they make them out to be. They are low grades tires they alright for a little while but I would have replace them with a different tires.

I'm still talking with Discount Tire about a refund since I bought their Service Contract Certificate. That explains why Jayco is discontinuing the use of the Endurance tires.

Didn't know they were discontinuing Endurance tires. So I called my dealer. No they are not. So, I got on Jayco's 5th wheel site, talked to Jayco rep, still using Endurance.

Look toward the bottom of the ad. This ad is for 2023"s.

Not sure where you got your info.

My mistake! Jayco is not going to use the Endurance on their Pinnacle & North Point models starting 2023, probably because of the weight of those models. They are going from a 255 tire to a 215 tire. Huge difference in sidewall height resulting in less sidewall flex which puts a considerable amount of stress on the sidewall.
