A mixture of good and terrible!. Going West out of Kingman for the first 20 miles is terrible, then it get pretty good. Going East is OK for the first 30 miles or so, then it's pretty bad. If you are going East out of Kingman take the old Route 66 to Seligman, then continue on 66 to where it rejoins I-40 just West of Ash Fork. No hills, no trucks, lots of scenery, very little traffic AND no potholes!

When we took a trip to Durango a couple of years ago, New Mexico had pretty decent roads, a lot better than AZ.

I never drive I-40 at night unless it's absolutely necessary. Can't see the potholes or wildlife, hitting either one will ruin your day.

Prolonged dry spell here with nothing but sun. Went down to the camper and 303'd everything on the roof including the awning. Also applied 303 to all sun side decals. After 11 years, they're fading but not too bad. While on the roof, I noticed a crack in my front Maxxair vent cover. Gonna have to get a new one. Seems they last about 7-8 years. One other thing. I got sick of trying to keep my white propane tank cover clean, so I painted it black. Also did the outside shower door.

Took apart the burner tube on the HW heater, cleaned everything up and then reassembled. Fired it up and adjusted the air flow for a nice blue flame. Tomorrow grease the wheel bearings, adjust the brakes and then down to the tire shop to have the four new Goodyears mounted and balanced.

Drained 2/3 of our fresh tank on the ground. We have been camping for 6 days and are leaving for home tomorrow. Sure didn't want to haul all that water home. We filled it up last weekend thinking we may lose power from a storm that passed thru last weekend with just lots of rain.

Sanitized the FW tank and lines. Just as I started, the power went out at the house, then found that DW bought “scented” bleach by mistake. Don't need “fresh meadow” scented water! A neighbor saved the day. Ran it through all the faucets and will let it sit overnight. Tomorrow: Drain, refill, drain again and put her back in the RV yard.

I brought mine in from storage dewinterized and went through the check list (batteries, fridge, slides, and air conditioning). So far all checked out good. I have a few more things tomorrow to do. Heading out on our first trip of season.

Ordered new scissor jacks. The original 24 inch were stretched out to far to often so I went with 30 inch. Hopefully I won’t need to carry as many blocks.

Well today we changed the coax cable on the Direct TV Traveler dish. My youngest daughter’s boyfriend swapped the cables. I don’t do well with heights. He helped me wash the FW. I’m going to wash the awning tomorrow!

Big Brown Truck dropped them off about a hour ago. Took about an 1/2 hour to R & R. One of the easiest upgrades I’ve done and from the looks of thing’s it should work very well.

Was very excited to take delivery of my brand new 184BS Baja yesterday! New RV smell, shiny, and brand spanking new. Drove it off the lot, across town, no issues until someone drove up excitedly next to me when I was turning right to tell me my back passenger wheel was on fire. Was able to extinguish the fire with the onboard fire extinguisher, but the wheel was barely hanging on! Dealership now dealing with it…

Anyone else out there have a hub fires with their new Jayco? Only hint I had was a block earlier my truck told me the trailer brakes were disconnected. Figured I would look at it when I got to where I was pulling it that night. I’ve owned two other RVs and sold RVs for a period, but never ran into a wheel basically coming off altogether. Service manager said he had never seen it either. Gas line is actually fairly close to where this fire occurred.

Welcome to the forums and congratulations (I think) on your new trailer. Most people wait until their first trip before returning it to the dealer!

Today I'm replacing my very well built jack stand that I left about 1,200 miles behind. Thankfully didn't damage my jack.

It is sad to say it is June 12th, and I dewinterized it yesterday . Been to busy of a year to go camping. 1st trip this year will be in July. Then I think the 2nd trip wont happen until August .

Normally we get out every 2 or so weeks starting early spring. Guess it is an off year

It’s a sad day…looks like we sold her. Just waiting on wire transfer of funds and she’ll be making memories for a new family. [emoji22]
