The cat and I walked through two inches of snow out to the TT to get some extra dishes for our Thanksgiving dinner guests. I also removed the battery from from it and put it in the house.

Happy Thanksgiving!

I replaced my water heater anode. It was last replaced on 12-1-13 an wasn't eroded much at all, but I still replaced it.

Looked at a picture of it. I'm at work offshore, so all I can do is look at it. Bought it, hauled it home, went to work. Hopefully I can contribute something in the near future.

Picked up a LED Solar light for the outside. Seems to work pretty well.

Thought about buying a Pirit heated water hose as the outside water hookup froze up again last night. I disconnected the water the night before as it got down to 21 degrees but did not expect it to freeze last night as it only got down to 31 degrees for a few hours, but it did. We are running on the holding tank fresh water until it un-freezes. Actually think I will order the Camco version as it seems to be a little better made. In Pigeon Forge for the 3rd Thanksgiving weekend in a row.

Checked battery water levels. Cleaned all wires and terminals plus coated them with anti corrosion stuff. Checked trailer wheel nut torques. ( one nut was a very small amount loose). Checked tires pressures.

I vacuumed the floor today. I still haven't had time to pour some distilled water into the batteries. Maybe next week.

Repaired my waste tank hose. I screwed up today. It got down below freezing last night (14 degrees), and this afternoon I decided to empty my tanks. Well, there was a chunk of ice in the hose that obstructed the flow. I shook the hose and it cracked open!

A quick trip to buy duct tape (should've had it on hand... I know) and I temporarily repaired it. After finishing the tank empty process, I cut off the hose at the break and reattached the end fitting.

WARNING:: Never wiggle a frozen dump hose!

Pushed it back off the concrete and onto the planks for the winter. Started the winterizing process.

Brought it home from storage, un-winterized, checked my AC hold-down bolts (all good BTW), cleaned the air "filter" (LOL! "filter", HA!).

Getting ready for another great adventure!!

Had both propane tanks topped off. A little over 6 gallons for $14 or so. Propane here is down to $2.09 a gallon, which ain't that bad. Also did some cleaning and reorganization. Seems like things just pile up in the wrong place after a couple months of living in the TT.

I left the house early AM in my TV hauling the new to me 2006 27BH we got. I got to the exit of our neighborhood to go to the storage facility and at the exit gate, there was a bump and then it stopped. I couldn't budge the trailer. Thought I had hit something. Got out and looked, then I noticed the hitch had come loose of the ball and it was hanging from the chains, adn the emergency brake had kicked on when the safety wire had released! A bit flustered at this "doh!" moment I tried to jack it up high enough to put back on the ball. I got to the top of the travel of the jack, then realized I needed to put a block of wood under it so it would lift high enough. Tried going back down, but the weight or something had damaged the threads or something and it wouldn't go down for the life of me. Now this was "rush hour" when everyone is exiting to go to work. Some couldn't see me in the front and started honking. I was blocking the exit Big Time! I had to wave people around and then watch traffic as my truck was nearly on the road and blocking view and signal them when it was OK to go. I called a buddy down the road but he was getting kids ready for school but would come dropping them off. I tried a variety of things like pulling the trailer forward on the jack and rocking it, going forward and back, etc. Nothing. This went on for nearly an hour as neighbors drove by and saw "the idiot with the travel trailer" broke down in the exit lane. Rick finally showed up and he assisted getting it on the ball by standing on the bumper and providing guidance, then we used the stabilizer jacks to get the thing up enough to pull the jack leg out of the jack and drop it back on the ball. By this time its after 8:30am and I've got grease on my arms I tried to clean off, and I had to notify work of the situation and all in all, this was the beginning of my weekend! I have not been so embarrassed in a long time!

Wife had helped me back up the truck and get hitch on the ball, and I guess in hindsight I failed to make sure it was "locked" in. In my Preventive Maintenance routine the balky hitch wouldn't release w/o using a drift and hammer...so I lubed with the waterproof grease and now it works so easily...well, you know. The older motorcycle trailer we grew up with had a different sort of hitch that had a definite lock, others I've used have a locking sleeve, not as familiar with this sort. Half way to the storage I pulled over and checked it again! Lets just say this was life's way of humbling you once in a while I guess! and Proves Murphy's Law!

Just ran my generator for 1 hour under load. Not a problem, just the normal monthly run. It ran perfectly.

Washed the rig and ran the genny. Attached a quick disconnect to the battery. Makes it easier to hookup the battery charger.
