What Did You Do To Your Jayco TODAY?

Finished up an interesting project today. We take our two dogs camping and there are times when we have to leave them in the camper while we run an errand or go to visit someone. When it's really hot (90+), I've never been thrilled with the idea since a breaker could blow or someone knock our plug out of the box, etc. Problem solved. Meet the Honeywell Smart Wifi Thermostat. Combined with the camper's MiFi, we're notified via e-mail whenever a temperature threshold we set is passed or when communication is lost with the thermostat (power loss in the camper). I had to replace the control box on my Coleman Mach 15 A/C with a 24V version in order to run the thermostat, but it was well worth it. A bonus is that we can now control the camper thermostat from apps on our phones, tablets, or the web. Again, useful if you have pets and are away. The new 24Vac control boxThe finished product

Wow, funny you should mention that - we may pass each other out on 395. We're going from southern California to Reno!

Washed and waxed the TT and the TV today. Now I know why Daniel Son was so ticked off at Mr. Miyagi for having to wash and wax all those cars !!! That is a lot of work !!! Shines like a diamond though.

I found that 3 out of the 4 mounting bolts for my AC unit were loose. Tightened them up.

Tuesday night, before the 4th, I put my ATV in the back of the truck and hooked up the pop up and headed to the U.P. of Michigan. I got there early wednesday morning and was set up in about 30 minutes. The following wednesday, I loaded up and eventually headed home. The camper pulled great, even with my fully packed 4 cyl S-10, and it fit my needs better than my tent.
Thursday, I unpacked my stuff from the camper and my wife repacked it to her liking.
Saturday, we put a house window A/C unit in the camper to see if it would be useable option. The verdict isn't in yet.

I added a small piece of wood to the inside of the front edge of the roof. The screws for the bracket that holds the front canvas support bar pulled out. It's all better now. While I was inside fixing that bracket, I noticed the rear bed curtain holder strip of plastic had come loose. That can wait until I raise the roof again, preferably when it's not so hot and humid.

Just curious...What product(s) did you use? I am about to do mine and don't want to spend an arm and a leg if I can avoid it.

I found out that my Norcold fridge has a muffin fan mounted in the outside stack between the lower and upper vent hole. I looked for one several years ago but could not see it until today, I heard it running. When I removed the outside access doors to look, it shut off.
