It has two purposes, #1 In cold weather it keeps your hands warm when your pushing it. #2 In cold weather it keeps your but warm when your setting on it waiting for a tow truck.

It's only 18F but I've got 2 heaters inside, snow brushed off, and going to take the cover off today. We've got alot to do getting ready for a trip in a month and can't work on it with the cover on and slides in. Needed to get it off before the 4 inches more on Tuesday. Thermal load from the sun is doing as much as the heaters. The heaters are getting the cover loose from the roof so it can be lifted. A little wind is helping also.

28 days left to prep it. Got to get moving.

Had to repair my bathroom skylight again. More cracks formed in the plastic skylight cover, letting water leak in. Luckily it's right over the bathtub. Used my old standby, J-B Weld, to patch the cracks on the outside. I'm going to have to break down and order a new skylight cover and replace it someday.

Needed the space heater for DS's room, so I went ahead and did a storage check while I was there. Put a little more AF in the toilet to keep the seal wet. Gonna be at least 8 weeks before we get to bring it home again.

Got the cover off. 10' tonight, 1' Thursday night so I'll wait until after that to extend the slides and connect the Progressive unit. Lots of other stuff to do and now I can turn the furnace on.

The DW and I Said goodbye to our x23b (aka "Glampy"), as we are trading it in for a new GreyHawk 31fs. But to do so, I had to dig it out of the snow and shovel it off to get the cover off so I could haul it up to the dealer. Wasn't easy.Click image for larger version

Found another dang crack in my skylight. Gotta get another one. Checked on Amazon and Camping world websites. A new 14x22 exterior skylight cover runs around $100. Seems like a lot for a cheap piece of plastic.

I'm tempted to to to Lowes and buy a sheet of plexiglass and use it instead.

I would think $30-35 should be the going price, their just vacuum formed. Wondering if you could use a heat gun and form your own.

It is the first of the month so:

Just set the Norcold to propane for the day
As soon as it gets to be 8:00am I will fire up the generator for an hour
While the generator is running I will switch the water heater to propane and start a load of laundry.

I do this the first of every month.

I braved the snow and sleet to go out and run the heater and clean the AC filter....(brought it in the house to do the actual cleaning).... while there I cranked up the antenna and watched a little TV...
Calling for temps near 60 degrees later this week c'mon spring!!

Measured it for " Soft Mat" for the floor. It comes in at least 25-30 colors. My # 1 reason is to stop Tunce from slipping on the floor and it's warmer and softer on our feet at night.

Pulled the genset out of my 2950 SB Designer, tore it down and replaced the damaged rotor. Runs great! :-)

Hey Chaplain Ed
We are just down the road from you in Jupiter Farms. We went out to check for leaks after that terrible rain yesterday. Our 2015 Whitehawk has a small amount of water coming in onto the floor in the right front corner. Nothing on the walls or ceiling. Got us stumped. BTW DH and I are bith retired USN supply corps.

Hello Catmike,
Glad to see we have Jayco neighbors. I retired in '82 LDO Engineer/Diving Officer. Heading to Texas next month to visit a very good friend on his homestead. He's a retired Intel Off.

We didn't get all the rain in Indiantown that you folks on the coast got. My old (1996) Class C is pretty tight though so I wasn't too concerned.

I agree. I'd happily pay that much for a replacement. But I broke down and ordered a new one from Amazon today, along with the sealant and 10 more LED lamps. I guess you gotta pay to play.
