Cleaned up the inside, replaced the male plug on our power cord as it had a crack in it. Opened vents to let some fresh air flow through. April 2nd is first trip.

Returned the strap on tow-mirrors to CW and picked up a pair of X-Chocks with a rain check from the sale that ended last week. Yay! We may not be that stable but our trailer will be!

trailer parked out at my brother's place for now. Had our 1st big cookout and beer bash of the year last weekend. Cleaned up the inside, drank beer, made the bed, drank beer, the usual. Weather permitting, start cleaning the outside next weekend.

Today is get model numbers off of each slide awning for replacement. After 5 years in the sun it is time. Main awning will be replaced also.
Now waiting on the nephew to show up with a second ladder and daylight. He doesn't get up as early as I do.

Installed a new towel rod in the bathroom. One was just not enough. Also had the unit washed from top to bottom. Went on a trip in January, February, and March to the Georgia State Good Sam Club Samboree(Rally) in Perry, GA. Camping World had 24 new units there to look at. I think they sold 2 including a $300,000 motor home! Our unit is not 2 years old yet and already looking! lol. Great weather here in the Southeast(sorry all you Northerners). Next trip is in about two weeks to Lake Seminole and the Cotton Hill Corps Of Engineers campground.
Stay safe all!

I generally keep my FW plugged in for convenience/ occasional yard use. Yesterday, after several days of rain, it tripped my ground faults. By elimination I determined it wasn't wet power cords but rather the camper.
When I purchased this (used) I noticed the main power plug was replaced and then taped up where it entered the clamp. When asked the prior owner said he replaced it. I've wondered about the events leading to that but didn't ask.
Anyways, upon opening the two piece shell it was full of unknown junk, maybe insects made it their home? Cleaning it out I noticed one terminal was frazzled, not well secured, so I fixed that. Then I noticed a second similar one. Removing it I found the most hidden safety wire was actually shorting to the main lead.
Giving up on a quick repair I took it all apart, removed two inches of original power line and started over. That gauge wire is hard to work with in the confines of a 30A plug, but it's now operational and hopefully never needs looking after again.

Did our first wash job Saturday. It went well enough, didn't take terribly long. We used wash and wax combo, so I hope that was sufficient. Unfortunately, there already is black streaking I can't seem to get off completely, even using remover. I tried vinegar also with little result. I'm thinking of Magic Eraser next.

Spent an hour today trying to figure out why my Visio TV's sound won't play over the 5th's speaker system. I yanked the Jensen out right away (I wanted built in wifi for Netflix) so I don't know if it would have worked or not. I can get the iRV's radio and DVD player sound to work over the speakers (for the DVD I use the iRV AUX IN port and the cables I found in one of the 5ths drawers). Tried every tv/iRV combo I could think of with what I have but nada. So, I'm thinking something isn't hooked up right on the iRV and hoping service will be able to fix it when I take it in for a couple of other repairs. Unless the TV sound isn't meant to go to the rv speakers? That doesn't sound logical so I hope that's not the case.

We have a 2015 Jayco White Hawk 21FBS with the tv/iRV combo and our TV doesn't come thru the TT speakers either. I thought there was a problem but the dealer said that's the way they are made.

After I posted I read another thread that mentioned that they are able to listen to the tv through the rv's speakers! So, what gives? I bet Jayco gets a lot of calls/complaints about the darn iRV.

I noticed this morning that my shower was flowing stronger than "normal". I went outside, after the shower however, and looked at the pressure gauge on the 5'er side of the Watts 263A pressure reducer. I keep it set at 50 psi, but this morning it was on 58 psi? I tried to reduce it in the normal manner, but it crept right back up to 58 within a few seconds. Soooooo, I turned the water off, removed the 263A, put it on the tailgate of my TV. Over the next 30 minutes or so I disassembled it and cleaned it with CLR and an old toothbrush. It was pretty nasty inside after 4 years of full time use. After the cleaning I installed new parts from a rework kit I have had since I bought the 263A and put it back in service. After a couple of minutes adjusting the pressure it now holds 50 psi like it used to.
I have also just ordered another rework kit. I hope I don't need it for another 4 years, but it is nice to have it.
Maybe I go overboard at times, but I also have spare water heater thermostats (both the propane side and electric side), replacement water heater electric element, and a spare fresh water tank low point drain valve. I am absolutely convinced the existing valve will freeze and break at some point, but it hasn't down to 8 degrees. I'm sure it freezes, but it is still operational. I know it would fail if I didn't have the spare.
I haven't even talked about all of the fuses and spare light bulbs. Maybe having a home base in a town of 680 population and no parts of any kind even close is the reason.....Or maybe not.

WD40 and a little wiping will make those black streaks disappear. [emoji57]

Don't hurry home to Ottawa for sure, weather is above freezing during days for a bit but still down at nights. I'm sure the weather is much nicer down there!
