Put my awning out for it to dry after 2 days of torrential rains.

Dropped it off at the dealership this morning to take care of some warranty issues that we discovered on our first two trips.

Sold the 2012 Jay Flight 198RD and bought a 2006 Eagle 287 FBS to have more breathing room. Very nice clean unit and the beefed up 1/2 ton pulls it easy and everything stayed within the limits on the scale. Just the two of us and three small dogs.

Just buy the dual plastic cover and you don't have to look at the tanks.

I have the water softener too. Love it. Mine is the double size model. Looks like a scuba tank.
Do you need the double filters on the inlet?

Dropped it off at the dealer for a wheel bearing re-pack, brake inspection/adjustment and de-winterization. Have a minor warranty issue as well - the latch on the furnace cover doesn't stay in any more.

The small 'blue' filter is fairly new so will keep it on until the next time we move (early April we head back North)...but it is not needed now since we have the Culligan.

The 'white' one is a Culligan product and should do a great (and better than the Blue) job for what it is designed for.

Quote:
The Culligan RVF-10 RV and boat filtration system is designed to reduce foul tastes, odors, and sediment from potable drinking water.

Got a picture of it in Desert Hot Springs. Looks like it is having a good time with my neighbours who borrowed it. My wife thinks they are RV'er's now.

They said they really like the Jayco.

ps Canadian spell check kept putting the 'u' in neighbours. Did it again.

I can sympathize. I had to wait for better weather so I can pick mine up in a couple of weeks.

Advice..........spend the time to buy all the things you will need to make the RV your home away from home. From EMS to TPMS, to generators, electrical adapters and extensions, plumbing fixtures and hoses, chock blocks, leveling blocks, torque wrench, pressure regulator, back flow preventers, water filters, back up cameras, battery monitoring displays, etc.

That should keep you busy and when the packages start rolling in, it is sure to feel like Christmas came early.

Have fun!

Storage check. Busy season at work now, so unlikely we'll take it out again until late April or May. She's still all good and tucked away in storage, just waiting on us! Will need to put a little more AF in the toilet next time, but other than that, all is well...

Dumped the waste tanks today. Fun, fun, fun!

Also cleaned out the lavatory and kitchen sink drain pipes. I used an old toothbrush to scrub the lavatory pipe, right through the lavatory drain. Used Clorox/water as I scrubbed. Couldn't get a toothbrush into the kitchen sink drains, so I used the flat end of a bamboo skewer (carefully) to scrape the inside of the pipe. They were all getting a little scummy and stinky. Much better now! Also pulled off the lavatory knobs and cleaned the faucet real good.

Well the only thing is Went to the RV show, got some toilet chemical.

Friend went and brought a new trailer, So I got out pretty good. only $ 25.00

Saw a few I liked, but I like my trailer, Did see about a 5.5 foot brown hair my height Trailer Rep form the states. He was worth talking too.

For the small price a can spend $ 600 plus putting it in. a convertor to make popcorn, and reheat stuff.
I will stick to the generator

Started breaking in the new Champion 2kW Inverter generator. Instructions say to change the oil after the first 5 hours so getting that out of the way before heading south in a few weeks. So far so good - easy to start and very quiet, especially in "econ" mode....
