Restrung the day/night blind using the Masons cord recommended by SmokerBill, worked great. This is not a job for the feint of heart, fat fingers, bad eyes and little strings ...... , at least a 6pack. Back splash tiles next, closeout 37.00 a six pack at Lowes. Maybe tomorrow.

Trailer is pulling great and the Hemi loves to run up the hills. This is a very nice and well kept campground, but very busy - we made our reservations a few weeks ago and there were only a few spots left at that point.

Always something interesting going on around you and today was no exception. Was passed by about 2 dozen of those noisy little cars with the oversized mufflers doing about 90 headed out of North Bend and up Snoqualmie pass - weaving in and out of traffic like crazy. Later on I got cut off by somebody else as we were headed up Deadman Pass in Oregon - they actually threw a banana peel out the window as they cut in front of me. However, in that case justice was eventually done as a Oregon State Trooper had them pulled over a few miles down the road. Also had a guy towing a good size Aljo run by me only to have the left rear tire of trailer blow out as he got past us - lots and lots of smoke but he got it over to the side OK.

Finally got the TT out of storage, and guess what, its snowed. Next day I opened a couple of windows, and went through it making sure no critters had made a home. The only problem is.....getting the TT out of storage is giving me a bigger itch to do some camping.

Changed out my three storage compartment CH751 locks to ones keyed to one of my entrance doors. Simple mod, spent about 15 minutes to change all three out.

Just added a Zamp 480 watt US Made solar package to our Sesimic 4212. No more inverter alarms at 4 AM. Works great! Got it at back-country solar.com, great install by Joe.

Greased the bearings. The TT is a 2012, and the gunk that came out looked like it was the original grease. Ugly.

Have a question though. This was more of a pain than I thought it should be ( never done it before ). The grease gun fitting kept wanting to come off the zerk ( is that what it's called? ) fitting. I had the gun fitting screwed down as tight as I could get it. I found it difficult to tighten the gun fitting because everything has grease on it. I shopped for a gun that had a quick release fitting like on an air compressor. But could not find such a thing. Maybe they don't exist. You folks that have done this many times, do you fight the same fight?

Removed a few items from the TT and put them in my storage unit. Leaving the Puyallup Fairgrounds RV area and going to I know not where. I'll decide my destination when I start driving tomorrow, I guess. Might go north, or south, or east or west, hopefully to a free camping area.

Also (yesterday) serviced my generator again. Oil changed, filters cleaned, typical routine.

And I got a new fulltimer RV'ers insurance policy today. Previously with Foremost, but read lots of negatives about the company online. Switched to Progressive, better coverage, better company reputation, and about $100 less per year at about $375.

While I was at it, I changed insurance carriers on my truck. State Farm has raised my rates twice this last year, $40 a pop every 6 months. Went with Pemco, also with better coverage, for about $400 less per year.

Last week Washed and Waxed the Bungalow. This week washed the 33rlds and am starting to wax it. After it is done then comes the Excursion washed and waxed and then The wifes car. no rest for the wicked.

I find the best time to do it is after a good tow when everything is still warm. Flows much easier and is not as much of a challenge.

Got a new insurance policy for it. Since we leave our RV on a seasonal site all year we need stationary insurance. Like SmokerBill we had Foremost but switched to Progressive. Got a lot more coverage and saved $200.

I have a Trailer Aid so I can suspend and rotate the tire as the grease is applied via the zerk. The most important thing is to add the grease slowly.

I found this fitting which might be what you are looking for.

Packed the TT for travel, filled four 5 gallon water jugs, got extra gas for the generator (and filled the truck), hooked up, drove up the hill to visit a friend for a couple hours, seeing all his pictures from the Peru trip he returned from yesterday, then drove less than 10 miles to the Bonney Lake Walmart parking lot, where I'm "camping" tonight.

I'll figure out another (hopefully better) place to set down tomorrow morning. Too tired to think now. I did spend some money here at Walmart- bought some veggies, and rented a couple of movies to watch tonight here in the parking lot. Got "Creed" and "The Heart of the Sea". Should keep me entertained until bedtime.

And for anyone interested, I asked the Assistant Manager what the overnighting policy was. Told me one night- technically 24 hours- was allowed.

Replaced all the 921 condescend lamps with LED's. Went from 3.4 amps to 0.35 Amps with all lights on. Hanging closets all done so coats etc. don't have to be folded anymore. Doors where easy to extend with the same material. Fixed some squeaky floor problems (Thank God for silicone). RV's are a "Never Ending Love".

Thanks ALJO, but no plans to cross the border. I'm "home" here in WA, at least until fall arrives. Then it'll probably be back to AZ. By the way, how do you fix a squeaky floor with silicone? I have an area of floor that squeaks quite a bit, but I think a fresh water tank is directly below it.

Left Walmart this morning and ended up just east of Elbe, at the Nicholson - Sahara Creek Camp Area. Free camping for the price of a $35 Annual Discover Pass. Good deal!

Not so good... as soon as I got my TT positioned, the low tire pressure warning beeper went off (for my truck) front driver side tire had a leak. Got it changed out before I unhooked the TT. Drove 20 miles to Morton, WA to get the tire patched, but every shop employee gets off at either noon or 2PM on Saturdays, evidently so they can start drinking beer. Bought a plug-type patch kit at the local NAPA, but I'm not going to use it if I don't need to. Don't like the things.

I'll hang out here camping till Monday, then drive to Morton again and get the tire patched the right way- from the inside. On the plug kit directions, it clearly states that the plugs are only a temporary patch, and the tire must be patched correctly ASAP.

I will return the kit and get my $6 back if I can. That's good for 24 hours of generator run time!

Re-installed a trim piece on my slide that got knocked off last week when I forgot to close a cabinet door.

SmokerBill; First determine where the squeak is coming from. Sometimes it might be a screw. Because they are sparingly with screws fasting down cabinets and benches the floor might squeak because of it. In the screw hole I put some silicone and install the woodscrew. Luan board is soft and screws strip easy. I had two places one by a bench seat and one on my bedside. They are gone now. Cabinetmaker glue and silicone does wonders.

I have an enclosed underbelly to handle sub temps better, so where did I find the drain valves? Under the TT so they can freeze and crack. I am modifying things for the coming winter. Lots of insulation around the fenders and heat tape around the tanks and drain valves.

ALJO, my TT floor is 5/8" tongue and groove plywood covered with vinyl flooring. Any fix would have to be from underneath, because I wouldn't remove the vinyl just to fix a little noise. Could be one of the t/g joints sqeaking too, I guess. I can live with it, since it's in an area I rarely step on. Thanks for the xplansionionion.
