Load range D, 15". Max sidewall is 65#, rims are rated higher (85# I think). Why 66#? No real reason, other than I figured that if they lost a little air over time, it would delay having to add more air. And since my TT is just sitting now, I know that the extra pound of pressure won't hurt, since tires are designed to handle the extra pressure that builds when traveling on the road, and when ambient temperature rises from morning cold to afternoon hot.

Also, I seem to remember reading somewhere that if a trailer is just sitting, it's a good idea to add some extra pressure above the sidewall max pressure. Anyone else heard of doing this, or did I just imagine it?

Loaded her up and prepped her to leave first on our first extended trip with her first thing Friday morning. All that's left to do is add the rest of the food and hitch up.

Funny you ask about a tv, I did install a new tv including articulating arm and DVD player (about 10-12 pounds).

Yesterday, I replaced all the exterior marker light bulbs with LED.
42lbs??? Holy cripe they have some weight to them!!!

We have X-chocks, still have a little bounce when someone walks through the rig, but I believe it is due to how long our 32 is. Plan is to buy another set of scissor jacks for the center.

Not sure if that tv will tow the rig though! Lol

What led bulbs did you buy?

Hope the first trip was awesome!!! Not that I ever remember to throw ours in the tt, but get an electric heater to help ease the propane use for when you have electric h/u. One of these days I will just put it in there and leave it!!! Lol

Need to get down your way to the Woodshop again!!! Awesome place!!!

Parked it at home after solo (well, me + Maisy) monthlong trip to Yellowstone, my first in a hard-sided trailer. DH plans to clean off the bugs today, and I'll be unpacking.

Storage check.

It's been raining a lot around here lately, so just making sure everything is still all dry. All is well, but she's getting too dirty for my taste, going to be time to get her home for spring cleaning soon. Well, that our first trip of the season soon hopefully!

Found a bird's nest in my steps too! With 5 eggs in it! Mama must have been out getting dinner, no one was bothering me near the nest.

Organizing My Stuff

I just bought the trailer and I'm still making it mine. I've taken it on one trip and have figured out how I want to use it this summer when I'll be taking it out for a month at a time.

Today I went to Walmart and picked up a few more things to help organize my stuff in the trailer.

I picked up those wonderful Command hooks and other accessories to organize the kitchen and bath. I picked up a hook they make for the bath specifically to hold a standard shower caddy to organize my bath stuff.

I also picked up a fog-free mirror from Command for the shower and something to hold my toothbrush.

For the kitchen, I bought enough small hooks to properly hold some frying pans and pots so they aren't taking up storage space while I'm in camp.

And my final purchase of the day was a full size 1-1/2 inch memory foam mattress topper for the dining table/bed. The memory foam makes all the difference and will make my nights much more comfortable.

I replaced my first stage water filter last evening (particulate filter 1 micron) and while it was time for it (2 weeks in service) it didn't solve all of the low flow issue that happened yesterday suddenly. My second stage filter is a carbon .5 micron and it will be replaced this morning.

I love this park, but the county water supply does have a bunch of "stuff" in it. With 2 people using water the filters usually last 2-3 weeks. I know I could go to a larger particle filter, but then smaller stuff would get through. It is a small price to pay for better water.

Removed the noisy metal stove cover and installed this Oak Accents Universal Silent Top Stovetop Cover. No more noise and extra counter space when not using stove.

Stashed a loaf of bread on board.

Still haven't gotten to the battery swap or properly stocking the food.

I was thinking about going with a 20" Big Blue 4.25" X 20" filter housing with KX Industries Extruded Carbon/Pre-Filter combo rated at 5 micron nominal followed by a Watts RV PRO-1000 water softener. I ended up going with the standard 20" with the KX filter instead because unless I am full timing it, the extra weight and capacity would/should be overkill. I went with the softener strictly to protect the HW heater, water lines, faucets and valves. Of course, the shower water and semi spot free aspects are nice too.

I'm surprised that you are only getting 2-3 weeks out of your filters. Are you using the standard 10" housings with your system? If you are, I would try to add a 10 or 20 micron nominal pre-filter before you go to your 1 micron and .5 micron because higher sediment will clog either rather prematurely. The higher micron pre-filters are pretty cheap to change out and you could either wait until water pressure lowers (as you are currently experiencing) or install an inexpensive water pressure gauge post high micron pre-filter to specify when changing the pre-filter is needed.

I would be glad to assist you with suggestions and links to filters and equipment that should provide you with much better capacity. I actually owned a water treatment company back in the 90's and was one of the first in the country to become a Certified Water Specialist VI through the Water Quality Association however, much has changed since I was involved.

Instead of always replacing the filters, Ed, have you considered buying a ceramic filter? From what I've read they can be cleaned many times, and can have a tight micron rating.

Today I started my first ever Spring cleaning chore. I've actually never cleaned my TT the way I'm going about it this time. I bought a bottle of Pine Sol, mixed up a bucket and started scrubbing the walls, cabinets and ceiling. I finished the bunk area and the main bedroom today (except for the floors). Tomorrow, I'll get the kitchen and dining area. If I have time I'll do the bathroom tomorrow too. Finally I'll give the floors a good scrubbing.

Thanks for the inspiration, Tunce. Why aren't you here helping me??? LOL

Love to Bill but I'm in Pismo Beach right now for another 3 weeks and the beer has been great. Barrelhouse makes the most flavorful beer I've ever had and I can't leave till I try everyone of them. Pine Sol and beer are not a good mix Bill.

Well, good thing I'm drinking wine then, huh? Enjoy the Pismo Pilsners, and Ales, and Porters, and Stouts and maybe even a Rauchbier, Witte bier and a hefeweizen while your at it.

I don't have a problem anywhere but this one park. And since I'm usually by myself the frequency of filter changes isn't as bad and I really don't mind the process. My home base site in central Alabama has great water and filters aren't needed but every six months or so. Here on the Florida gulf coast it is a different story. I had a guy last year tell me if I went to a 5-10 micron filter they wouldn't need changing as often. I politely told him I preferred cleaner water and that if I was concerned about filter changing/cost I would not use them at all.
