Another fairly nice day so I was able to get the WFCO converter/charger swapped out for the new PD4655VL as well as install an additional matching circuit breaker to place the new converter/charger on. Fairly simple and straightforward swap out that includes swapping the DC distribution board as well.

The first picture is the old WFCO and the second is the PD4655VL after all everything was swapped out.

Ran my generator for 1 hour under load, refrigerator switched to propane, and ran a load of laundry with the water heater on propane which I do every month.

Now to replace the remote control receiver in my ceiling fan so I can control it again. At least it failed in the on low mode.

Swapped the dealer-supplied Interstate 12v 64ah batteries for the new Trojan T-125 6v 240ah batteries. Took a little finesse to get them into the new taller battery box as they had to slide in at an angle but once in place everything fits great. Last piece for this project will be the Victron BMV-712 battery monitor.

I reorganized the basement and put a TV in the loft for the oldest DD. Then I towed it back to storage...

Extended forecast looks great so moved her from her winter "home" between the buildings to summer "home" (more exposed) so we could open her up and start doing some mods. Nothing major planned, just a bunch of little things that need to get done. Hopefully the extended forecast is accurate

Swung by the storage yard and just did a quick walk around and interior inspection...chomping at the bit to start Spring mods but a lot of winter left in the Rockies.

That is the only problem with that box going in on angle ( one person doing it.)
Those batteries are heavy
And taking the tanks off to get them in

Removing or removing installing batteries on these newer trailers are a major pain. My last trailer, 1978 prowler, the batteries were so much easier to work with. There was more room.

Does chopping snow/ice to get into your trailer to install a new shower head count?
We haven't had a lot of snow( only 70 inches) but the snow this year has brought an ugly date. Rain too. Then followed by sub zero temps.
Hatchets are useful

Congrats Dan! Not only with you be riding on air, now youíll be stopping on a dime, lol.

Youíre going to question why you didnít do it sooner and how you ever managed to stop with the crappy drums.

Installed a new kitchen faucet, pexed in a shut off for the toilet and made a connecting hose so I can utilize my outdoor shower to use as a black tank flush.

Thought about how cold it is sitting outside waiting for spring with 4' of snow around it... I already shoved snow off twice with ice both times... oh well only 2 more months...

Thanks for the reminder! I need to do the same as we are headed there in mid to late September, hopefully after the peak rush has passed. At least that is the plan......

I was able to get the basic installation of my ARP Fridge Defender done today. It took a bit of prep work and a couple emails back and forth with support to make sure I understood how to account for the Norcold Cold Weather kit as it can't be controlled by the ARP device. I ended up having to relocate the 12v power for the cold weather kit from the aux lines coming from the fridge controller and splice them in to the 12v supply prior to the fridge controller.

I also had to loosen the fridge up and slide it out about a quarter of the way in order to have enough room to reach up and install the temperature sensor on the boiler tube. Hopefully tomorrow I'll be able to finish off mounting the fans and their temperature sensor.

You can see the ARP controller near the inside top of the loop of the copper propane supply line. Just under the right hand corner of the controller is the 5amp breaker that was added on the 12v line from the battery to protect the controller. The thermal sensor to the left of the breaker is for the Norcold Cold Weather kit.
