Luckily my 175RD uses (2) 20 pound tanks
Just go to a propane center (not the gas station) they can recertify your tanks, they place a sticker on it and I believe they are good for another 5 years until you can again recertify, as long as your tanks are in good shape and have the correct valve and overfill prevention system it should pass.

Locally we have V1 Propane and Suburban Propane, I’m sure you can find an equivalent company via google or old fashion yellow pages

Unless it’s no longer in good enough condition for recertification, then the gas station works good. It’s also good if you need propane now because you waited until the last minute and the propane center is closed.

I actually never have slept in the Bird yet. It just flew home this January. From what I have read on forums, it was just better to get it replaced ahead of time.
We did exactly the same thing. After reading a bunch, after the trailer came home, we just lay on it once (just to see what it was like), lasted 10 minutes and ordered the Zinus. We ended up putting an ad in the local site that it was available for free as I would have felt guilty trying to sell it to someone...

I jacked up my camper today to do the shackle test. I have the MorRyde CRE 3000 suspension that's 9 years old. Happy to say there's no play in the shackles at all. Of course I think I only have around 5-6K on the camper as I usually camp fairly local. While the camper was jacked up I gave the tires a spin and heard some grinding noise that seemed to be a slight rubbing of a brake pad on the drum. Is this normal? Even with the slight grinding, the wheels spun freely.

Yes, that's a normal sound, especially if your trailer has sat for a few months. Some surface rust starts to form on the drum. Once you start driving, this goes away.

Had my 2'' receiver welded on today. I had him add 2 "L" brackets on both sides for extra beef. Then I painted the whole thing.

Brought here home for upcoming trip. Walked the roof and see a couple spots that I need to add some eternabond tape, like the ladder & skylight. Tested all my water lines to see if I winterized properly...all looked good...until pressure was on for about 5 mins or so and then water was not gushing, but flowing at a good speed from the top of the propane tank. So I shut off water and I can’t for the life of me figure out why in that spot. I don’t have any water lines there! So I checked all the sinks & shower and I don’t see any signs of water. I take everything out of the basement and take down the wall behind the water panel. No water there either...so I turn water back on and get in the basement...no water, but it’s flowing great from the top of my propane compartment! Turn water off again and sit there just stumped! Then it hits me...I put the washer/dryer combo in last month stupid! So I go into the bedroom and open the closet and washer/dryer combo closet...water everywhere...doh! I guess I failed to completely tighten the cold water to the back of the washer! And water was flowing out the curb side because of the lean on the street. Need to add check washer to my checklist!

So I have 3 fans going inside the master bedroom & closets and the windows open. Luckily I caught it at home. Moral of the story...check on your new mods in the field. Learn from my mistake.

What Did You Do To Your RV TODAY?

I did some some of the same today...testing my winterizeing. So far so good on this end. Had the water on a few hours and no leaks. Next is to test the water pump and fresh tank.

Also, did Eternabond, lubed all the slides, and applied some clear Sikasil.

Also, wanted to see if my Champion gen could handle the fridge, and AC#1 on cool high and AC#2 on high fan. So far so good there too.

Nice work! Did you do anything to the existing Dicor before overlaying the Eternabond? i.e. shave it down to allow the EB to lay flatter and stick better? Or just tape right over the Dicor? Mine’s pretty thick and uneven as I guess it should be, but someday I’ll be covering it with EB, I know. Thanks!

Just cleaned it up to remove dirt/dust etc. Then I laid it down over the top. Used the EB roller to mash it down real good. That roller is worth the money. Has good weight to it and rolls easily. Only issue is that roller finds any downhill slope and it’ll run away from you when you’re not looking.

Indeed. I hate getting up there. I’m a pilot but afraid of heights.

That looks good. Now I’m thinking something like that would look better than the ones on my sink now. Thanks for another project.
