Started camping in a tent with my parents, then they got a pop-up, then a Winabago (1978 ish Dodge).
Then I started solo hiking all over California during my high school years in a North Face Mountain 24 (still have it too).
First thing I did when I got out of the Navy was to buy a Fleetwood Coleman pop-up, 10 foot box(this was late 90's). I pulled it with a Jeep Wrangler.
Then I got married and we bought another Fleetwood, this time a Terry 25' bunkhouse (it was a brand of piece of JUNK!). We pulled it with a Jeep grand Cherokee (straight 6). After the fresh water tank fell off due to only 3 tack welds holding in up, we bought our current trailer (a 20' Jayco JayFlight). I love this trailer, it is well built and built to last. We pull it with a F150, 5.4L. Pulls like a bat out of ...(you know where).

Since buying it though we have added two boys to our family, so after things stabilize in the market and I get tenure we'll probably be looking at Jayco X213 (the one that has the hard sided slide out, King sized bed in the back and bunk-beds up front), it's slick.

Started in a tent with the parents. Thay got it from Sears and transported it in a '64Mercury station wagon. Spent many weekends camping, water skiing, cooking, fishing, and frog gigging
When I 'grew up', I converetd a '73 Chevy van to a camper.
Got a new '77 Dodge Street Van that I converted to a camper.
Stopped camping while the kids almost grew up without camping since I thought I was too busy making a living. If I had it to do over I would have found the time to camp with them.
Came back to reality and bought a used '96 26BH Eagle, used it for a few years.
Traded it for a new 26BH Jayflight Swift.
Retired.
Now have a Greyhawk 31SS.

I've had various tents in the past. Shortly after I got married, we lived for about four years in a TT we gutted and rebuilt.

Most of us seem to have ran the gauntlet from tents to big trailers and bigger trailers and motorhomes.
