I found a good pressure regulator and a rod and reel, we was there 7 days and no one came back for them.

While hiking in Germany one weekend, I found a swiss army knife that had every gizmo attachment known to mankind! This thing is about 3 inches in width.

Never lost anything to date; but am afraid I will, as my memory is good; just short these days, so I do at least 3 walk arounds for the TT before I leave the site. The last one with my wife for another set of eyes.

So far, if I lost it, must not have been that important.
Along the highway, I have seen the effect of others losing the dump hose, after it was run over a few times.

I haven't found anything but I always have that nagging feeling on the drive home that I've forgot something. Both of the kids are accounted for.

I bet I've lost lots of things, but that's mostly okay, they're just things. I keep the important stuff (sentimental stuff) close or protected at home. For many of the things I have, I'd be happy to lose them, then I could get something new and better, but for the inconvenience of having lost it...

I do tend to find things though. I'm very observant when I'm just walking around. My dad taught me to be that way out in the woods hunting and tracking as a younger man, and it's mostly stuck even though I don't hunt or track much any more. I'm constantly scanning everything around me, so I don't miss much. Even still, I haven't found much worth mentioning, but I have found some stuff I can't mention

And for those who haven't "found" anything ... but want to, check into Geocaching ~ caches are located in MANY campgrounds!

I don't think I have ever left anything at a site, but the first trip I made after getting my new Designer and starting my full time lifestyle was a bit funny. I traveled virtually every week when I was still working mostly by air. Then 5 years ago I was retired, had a brand new Designer, and was leaving my home base site for my first campground. As I was hooking up to the TV and unhooking all utilities, etc. I had this nagging feeling I was forgetting something. It was really bothering me. Even after I was completely unhooked from everything and hooked to the TV I still had this nagging feeling of forgetting something. I don't even remember how many times I walked around looking outside and inside and on top and underneath. Finally it hit me, this was the first trip I was taking in 40+ years without having to pack. I had forgotten to pack. I couldn't help but laugh at myself, so I just got behind the wheel and had a great weekend with family and friends.

Lost - 'feeling pressured'.

Found - 'happy times'.

We have found two nice vinyl-coated dog tethers with heavy duty screw-in stakes, a 20' length of good quality chain, BBQ spatula (el cheapo), an Off! Power pad Mosquito lantern with stand, a pretty good size ball pein hammer, a collapsible tent pole, and that's all I remember but it was quite a bit of stuff. So far, I am not aware of anything we've lost.

I lost the keys to the trailer once, while we were out doing some touristy stuff. We went back, looked around and still couldn't find them. Fortunately I still had the keys to the truck and had spare trailer keys in there.

We always find at least one tent stake when we camp - which we so far do mostly in Forest Service 'grounds. The only thing we've left at a campground was a hummingbird feeder.

We lost a loaf of bread to a filthy raccoon. Does that count?

I have lost my mind many times. I don't really care if I ever find it.

I lost two full plastic 5 gallon gasoline cans to thieves when I was at Sand Flats camp area in Moab a few years ago. Other than that, there were a few pieces of wood-scrap leveling blocks I drove away from.

All I've found was happiness, joy and good times.

I found an abandoned SS saucepan 8 years ago that was left in a campsite. It was interesting looking but all smutty from being used over a open fire. I cleaned it up with steel wool and bought a lid for it in a flea market.

We still carry it in the camper and use it all the time!

Various hose fittings, a couple electric adapters, patio mat (We left that for the next camper) lots of fire wood and a couple pieces of leveling wood. Nothing major left behind that I can tell. It is always fun walking the site before we back in to see what is already there...

Last month I found a key ring full of keys on the road in our CG. Turned them in to the park host.

I found a $10 bill laying in the road when I was waiting for my clothes at the laundromat a couple weeks ago.

I turned it in... right into my pocket.

Score!
