what is the story about your user name?

Hi Everyone,

Here is something that may be fun.

What is the story behind your user name?

My user name, Rafstar, was the name of a horse my wife used to own. I am definitely not a fan for horses (this is my wife's thing, not mine). However, I never could find a unique user name when creating a new online account and I could never remember user names that had random digits after them.

The funny thing is that after using the Rafstar user name for several years my wife told me the name of the horse was Raftstar (I forgot the "t").

Please share you user name story.

The explanation for our username is very simple...

My name is Ian, the Lady from Little Rock is Julie, so...

We are Julie, Ian... or WeRJuliian, for short.

Also known as the Transatlantic Twosome.

Being Canadian, I live north of the Canada/US border, which is mostly at 49° north latitude. I know I'm not the northernmost-living member of these forums, but I live farther north than most people here go camping. The farthest north I've gone camping is almost at 55° north.

My name is Mark and my last name begins with an "S", hence "Mark S".

Sadly, I must lack the creativity of others

On the bright side, I don't seem to forget my user name or at least not that often.

Used to own a 91 Z28 from Players Racing Series so I just use the same name on forums, car and others.

When I was about 7 or 8 years old I was in the car with my grandmother. She lived in Palm Springs and I lived in Oregon. I saw a "Southwind" motor home going down the road and somehow that led to us calling each other Southwind (for her) and Northwind for me. It kind of became an inside joke over the years between us. When I signed up for a Hotmail account in 1999 (over 10 years later), I decided to use it as my email address, Northwind was already taken and thus the 'one' was added to the end.

I think I'm going to go call my grandma now.

Camping is our calm and happy place for the mind. In the movie "Bad Boys II", the Captain (Joe Pantoliano) is a high strung individual. When he sought mental health help, his shrink told him to say "WUSAAH" to take him to his calm and happy place. I have used WUSAAH now for license plates and user names since 2003.

I'll share too. It's my name as well.

I've been fortunate to have been on-line for many, many years. In the beginning when I used pseudonyms I found my self faster to flame, quicker to criticize and my replies more snarky...

Switching to my real name helps remind me to not "say" (type) anything that I wouldn't say to someone's face.

I hope that age has helped me out as well...

My favorite color is blue, my first name is Jay and the 40 stands for how old I was when I created my FIRST online username. I am now just a few days shy of being 62.

If you want to do the math, be my guest. I don't like to think about it anymore!!!
