About half of my camping is without any hookups. I tend to enjoy the campgrounds that are rustic, but electric is nice when it is cold (winter camping) or very hot and humid.

When the DW is happy, I'm happy... and full hook ups makes for a happy DW; so there you go.

we can do boondocking, too, but voted for the water and electric hookup. It's just easier.

most of our Provincial campsites do not have hook ups bur allow generator use preferable the invertor typle since they are not as noisy for 3 hour in the morning and 2 hours in the evening. There are 2 Provincial parks that do have Electrical hook ups but are really difficult to get into. Most of our camping is done without hook ups

crud, i have enough to worry about... full hookups, baby. i want it all.

but that said, i will tent it on a texas island out in the middle of nowhere, with wild pigs trying to get in the tent (and the boat) with you.... if that is where i want to be.

all of the above, but if you say 'prefer' then it is a no-brainer...

We prefer wooded sites with plenty of space between campers.

In our part of the country that means state parks and most of those are water and electric. If sewer is available, we take it. If not, no big deal.

Any camping is better than the best day at work but I like the privacy that is usually found in more rustic / boondocking sites.

I like camping off the power grid the best. We are tent campers from back in the early 60s so both use to getting back off the trails.

This doesn't mean we do without much however. Took alot of planning and changing a few things around to live off the batteries. We are pretty successful doing it now... Our back in the woods camping usually last a week or so now...

We actually do just about everything we do at a regular electric site except no air conditioning. I solved the high wattage microwave by getting a low power model to use when camping off the power grid.

Our camp site is lit up just like we do it at regular electric camp sites every night. Watch full screen HDTV every night way back in the woods hehe...

Our smart mode charging, bigger battery bank, use of Inverter, use of LED lights, etc works great for us with the game plan being all is beefed up to make it thru the one day/night camping experience but then re-charge the batteries the next morning using the 2KW Honda generator for three hours.

Works very successful during the summer months camping but still needs some work camping in the cold seasons. Making heat almost falls into the air conditioner situation. Working on a Hydronic Hot Water heater heating system now to help solve this problem.

We like the hookup sites too but my real love is camping off the power grid way back on a forest trail road somewhere. Here where we live the state line of WVA and VA is great camping for us. Also like the Skyline Drive and Blue Ridge mtns down to the Smoky Mtn areas. The high country of VA, TN, NC, SC, GA, and AL is where you will find us
