I don't recall which I got first, but it was one of these:
  • Texas Instruments TI-99/4A - it took cartridges for games, and had a tape recorder for storing custom programs
  • Xerox 820-II - It was basically a business version of a TRS-80. It ran CP/M, was multi-user (DOS mimicked a bit of the interface, except for the multi-user bit), had 64k of memory and we started off with dual 5-1/4" floppy drives and a Diablo 630 dasiywheel printer. We then upgraded it to the single 8" floppy/hard drive unit. I seem to recall I had a Xerox Model 16/8 keyboard at one point, so it's possible we eventually upgraded its guts to a Xerox Model 16/8 before switching to PCs
My First PC was purchased in late 1986 or early 1987. It was an IBM PC clone (an 80286-12 with 512KB memory, a 20Mb hard drive, single 5-1/4" floppy)

TI99/4A then a Commodore 64. Both saved data on a portable (audio) cassette player.

Find a collector! In the Original Boxes it must be worth more.
